my favorite chinese candy
Now that I'm an adult I don't eat a lot of non-chocolate candy, but these are still a delight. They have a mild, milky, creamy feeling and have a texture that's something like hard toffee. They have a very slow melt-in-your-mouth quality where you can chew them for a very long time, which I like because you can get a lot of enjoyment out of just a few pieces.About hardness: the biggest factor is temperature. I prefer to put them in my pocket for a few minutes before eating them; you could also just hold it in your cheek. *Don't* try to chomp down full strength if you pop it into your mouth at room temperature. It will hurt; it's supposed to hurt! It's a hard candy. I would compare eating them to eating a tootsie pop; there's a period where the rice paper is melting and it's slowly warming up and you really, really want to bite down, but you just have wait til it's a little warmer.I think freshness also effects the hardness, but I'm honestly not sure because it seems like a gamble. I found these when I lived in China and even then buying them at the grocery store (so, presumably fresh) it was like a 50/50 as to whether they'd be super hard or not. Either way, the super hard ones are *STILL GOOD* and have just lost some of their moisture content. Again, you just have to warm it up a little.Anyway, that's about it; I just love this candy so much I wanted to share more about how to eat it for people who didn't grow up with it. It has a subtle, pleasant taste and is more filling/satisfying than most candies.

Yummy
The shipping was fast. I bought these before at a korean supermarket and even then they were a little hard to chew but tolerable. While these are normally hard to chew these are rock hard BUT I have found a life hack to make them soft and easy to chew. I noticed that when I kept the candy in my mouth it softened so I figured it was the warmth of my mouth that made it soft. So I put the candy in the microwave for 10 seconds and IT WORKED! Just microwave it for 10 seconds and its perfect and soft enough to chew.

Soft white rabbits!
Super fast and fresh white rabbit candy. Sometimes I buy and it's hard... this one was nice and soft!!! (but not too soft). Perfect.Funny I wrote this review for the seller feedback. Then I came over and read the regular reviews, and many people complain about hard white rabbits. The worst ones are so hard the outer wrapper sticks to them, which I think the inner edible wrapper is supposed to prevent. I'll still eat them, being a staple of my diet since childhood (probably not great for me haha), but these soft ones are amazing.

Yes! I found these!
I don't remember this candy ever being super soft from the moment you pop it in your mouth. I remember it exactly the way these came to me. It's hard at first and as you suck on it and let it come to body temperature it softens up and gets all milky and creamy until you can chew it all up. These candies are addicting and I am so glad I found it on Amazon for a great price. Local stores here can't ever keep it on their shelves and some places sell these for upwards of $5 a bag!

So difficult to find a bag of soft ones
I love these candies and can easily finish off a bag in a single sitting. But whenever I buy them from a local asian market, there's about a 50/50 chance that they'll be hard - like old Now & Laters. I was hoping that I would get a fresher batch by ordering them online but alas, all 6 bags were hard as rocks. I still enjoyed them but they're better when you can get them soft.

Too Hard!
The candy is hard at room temperature. It didn't used to be. The expiration date on the bag is 2019/06/20. I bought this candy 2-3 years ago from an Asian store and they were chewy. It seems as if the ingredients changed so that they are too hard. I placed some on a dish in the sunlight outside until they became soft enough to eat. Some reviewers put their candy in the microwave. I will try to find them in a store to squeeze the candy to see if they are soft, or if the candy is now made harder than before.

Fresh
It has been pretty hit or miss with getting these on Amazon, but the packs I received from this seller were pretty fresh and not super hard and stale, they were more akin to the ones my friend from China would bring back for me. I would definitely recommend.

Not soft and chewy as described. Hard as a rock. :(
Soooo disappointed in these. They even state in the description they are a creamy candy. The description in the listing also says creamy and chewy. These are hard. I don't know how old they are but seems like decades, lol. Hard as a rock. I'm disappointed because I bought 6 packages for a party celebrating Chinese kids. They are the ones that introduced me to the candy. Hummmm. I did contact the seller.
