Read the first third, maybe the first half, then stop and love Bryson at his best. Towards the end he rushes and basically phones it in.

The book is for me and I have enjoyed all of his that I've read

I can hardly believe that an author can write about all these amazing things that the body does, and yet repeatedly comment that it somehow happened to evolve this way by chance. This book is the perfect argument for intelligent design as it talks about every system in the body and the fascinating way that it's designed to work. Why can't an author simply write about the facts and leave the speculation of its origin out? I did find the book to be a good overview of the entire body and enjoyed reading it.

This is a tremendous book that I thoroughly enjoyed, Bill Bryson delivers yet again. The Body was incredibly informative but never felt too dense. I can't recommend it enough.I listened to this book on audible on a 22 hour road trip with my 22 year old daughter. We never tired of listening to Bill and enjoyed discussing it along the way. We had a hard copy with us to refer to when needed. I ended up reading much of the hard copy it was so good. Such a joy to find such a great book!
