Works in Octoprint
I was able to get this running on a Raspberry PI 3b+ running OctoPrint for monitoring a 3d Printer.- Optimal focal length is definitely about 2" back. Blurry if anything is closer.- Cable is sufficiently flexible for mounting to your print nozzle.- Camera is detected in USB as a standard "GEMBIRD" device. I'm able to swap back and forth between it and a PS eye without changing any code. Like the eye, this camera does not support MJPG natively.- Make sure you have the LED lights turned on when you first try to use it. Apparently turning the lights off also disables the camera feed!- Max res seems to be 640x480

Floppy cable makes it useless
I purchased 2 endoscopes on Amazon. The 1st had a nice semi-rigid cable that was easy to push into a long blind spot, but unfortunately had a USB-C connector which was incompatible with my S7 phone. Then I purchased this one which works fine with the phone but unfortunately has a floppy cable which you'd never be able to push further that about a foot into a blind location. This makes it virtually useless. I don't recommend this unit at all.

Awesome for the price
The camera work great on a windows 7 laptop records and take pictures, the light is weak, if being used on sewer pipe I suggest using a 14 gauge wire taped to the camera wiring for a more firm use.

Works great but cheaply made.
I returned the first one I received because of a “short“ in the cable. I received a replacement which I reinforced near the camera head with electrical tape. Since mine is going to be more or less stationary, I am not expecting any more issues with the cable, but I would not recommend this product for heavy duty usage where the cable will be flexing a lot, especially near the camera head.

Seems like it would work, but I couldn't get it to work
Beware of your needs when purchasing one of these USB cameras. This one comes with the older, D-shaped "Micro B" style fitting, and requires power from the USB. My cell phone uses the new, oval, Micro C USB port. I tried using it on my Samsung tablet, but couldn't get the lights to come on or the tablet to launch the camera app. I suspect it is because of the Samsung Tablet OS. Finally, I tried to use it with the adapter on my laptop and could not get Windows 10 to recognize the device (and I do computer support for a living, and know what I'm doing) or load the appropriate driver. Ultimately I had to send it back. I feel like it is a nice device and would work for other people, but I just couldn't get it to work with the devices I have. I rated the brightness and quality low because I couldn't get it to work, not because they were bad.

product is... ok...
this has a very long cord, which is great, ordered it for use on mechanical work on cars to view those tight dark places under the hood, before I take everything apart. But the lights around the camera are very dim and you cannot see much of anything unless you have a flash light. I would not recommend this if you are trying to look into drains pipes ect. where you cannot use a flash light

Wasn’t what I was looking for
It was bought to go down into tight spaces and view on camera..first I bought to go into a rabbit burrow..I had to take my computer out there with me..strike 1 but doable...it was a flop..the light wasn’t bright enough to see far in front of it..add soil around it and I realized quick it wasn’t what I was needing. I retired it to my plumbing bag..if I ever use it for pipes I’ll revise my review..but for rabbit holes it was a flop

Handy little camera for a multitude of uses
Loved that it came with a little packet of "retrieving" tools - a small hook, and a small magnet - that attaches to the front of the camera cylinder housing so you can grab small objects that are otherwise near impossible to reach. My only dislike is that it does not fit all android smartphones! I had to order a USB female to female adaptor so that I could use my cellphone charging cable to connect the camera to my MOTO 7G.All said, it's a handy little gadget.
