Cheap fix in an emergency!
I bought this as a direct replacement for the one inside my hvac unit. Mine is working fine, but the number one failure during the summer heat is the capacitor! So for $10, I wanted one on hand for a quick replacement, when necessary. It could save me $200-500 instead of calling an hvac company to come out in the heat of summer.
