Great at cutting, but hard to counter-balance
This saw is great and cuts like a pro. Has a real Oregon chain and bar, and adjusts like a gas chain saw. Great torque and starts a cut even pressed against the limb. Heavy duty and easy to adjust fiberglas pole system. Tool-less mounting and adjustment. Easy to see oil reservoir. Was surprised at how much cutting I could get out of a 2 Ahr battery. The charger is fast and real easy to use.However... even though the battery is at the tail end, the cutting head is quite heavy and difficult to counterbalance when fully extended. That's because the motor is direct drive and in the cutting head, and no drive shaft. Since the trigger is electronic (wired only), I would prefer if it had an adjustable position to better balance hand holds (trigger only at far end of pole with worst leverage). It would also be nice if the power head disconnected from the pole since it only needs the trigger wire to otherwise connect it (use a plug to unplug). This would make it easier to store in the back of the tiny 5-1/2' pickup beds so common now. This would also allow it double as an independent pruning saw option??

Didn't Know I Needed It, Now I can't live w/o it!
This is my 6th WEN product. Like the others, didn't know that I needed it and now can't live without it. Had more dead tree branches than I knew and more areas to clear than I thought. Like all of their other products, they are well made, easy to assemble and the battery charge is great. In two uses it paid for itself, as compared to if I had to hire someone to cut down the branches. A no brainer!

Awesome tool. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Awesome tool , cuts excellent ,has oil reservoir, exstends a lot and is strong when extended. I trimmed branches ten to fifteen feet above my head. , money well spent. Just remember to use the 3 cut method for great cut and no damage to the tree . First cut about a foot from trunk, then an undercut to prevent ripping bark and making it hard for the tree to heal. , then cut it off from the top down meaning up with the under cut. Be safe and take your time and enjoy a wonderful tool. Pairs up well with the chainsaw. Love them both.

Not compatible w other 40v max batteries
Thought I could use my craftsman or black and decker 40v max batteries. When battery and charger costs more than saw pile. Returned otherwise would have kept. Not a problem w saw do still have a 5 star

Great so far
So far, so good. This helped me quickly take down some branches up to a couple inches thick with very little effort (other than simply supporting the polesaw). Easy assembly and operation.I can't comment directly on battery life. I don't think it would be often that a homeowner would use a pole saw for the duration of the battery life, though.I now have 3 Wen items (pole saw, chain saw, hedge trimmer) operating on the 40V battery system and am impressed with the power and performance of each. I use at least 1 of them on a weekly basis.

Plastic handle snapped on second use
Wen products are generally good, this pole saw is not.The plastic pole just above the switch snapped in two, under just the weight of the pole saw on full extension.Do not waste your money with substandard chain saws - they are an accident waiting to happen.
