This is just the fix you need!
Bifold doors. They’re some kind of compromise whose value is not always clear. Our washer and dryer are quiet inside their alcove because of hollow bifold doors. Over the years - and especially with kids - the doors have been yanked and pulled and pushed and abused in almost unmentionable ways. The result was that the MDF that holds the top pin had been chewed up and the pin no longer held the doors in place.Enter this lifesaving repair!!!Instead of having to replace the doors, installation of these plates renewed the hold by covering the old worn holes with a new hold. Honestly, this fix ranks up there with any genius home repair trick.

SAVED MY DOOR
The top pivot and track holes had become elongated in my door from too much spring pressure. The screw hole in these brackets should be larger and larger screws supplied but other than that they worked better than I expected. Saved my from buying a new door. You really don't notice them when installed.

I have gone through so many cheap, hollow Bible doors over the years because the bottoms kept collapsing in, and I’d have to buy a new door. This little metal item has saved me from having to replace any more doors.

It works, sort of
I've installed about a dozen of these, mostly due to how discreet they are. They work with the right pivot hardware, but not with others. The screw is definitely too small in some instances, so plan on drilling the hole out a bit and using a larger screw. Adding some adhesive isn't a bad idea. The bent edges are always a bit too snug, so pry them out a bit with pliers. They used to be cheaper, now they're overpriced I think, but there's few options in this space, shrugs

perfect fit for my folding wardrobe doors!
worked perfectly to cover the hole that had gotten bigger and the pivot would no longer hold . Must have if you got folding doors at home. a very simple fix. Saved me a ton of money.
