Small
For me it was hard to decipher what dimensional size a number 14 is, but was in a hurry and not to concerned. Original intention was for replacing worn out body sponge in shower, but these won't fill that need. Sponge will fit in palm of your hand. Not to say they are bad or defective, simply small. I use them for auto waxing and detailing wheels, plus other application around the home. Not going to waste, OK for the price.

Perfect for cleaning tack
I have some very dirty tack and got these and a bar of glycerine to get it cleaned up. These were perfect for helping my scrub the tack and get it show ready. I recommend these without reservation.

Average tack sponge, can get cheaper elsewhere, but in a pinch was willing to pay more...
These are your typical tack sponges. I feel as they are a bit overpriced on here, but I was desperate to get some sponges so I could oil up a brand new saddle that I had just ordered. They are much cheaper at a local store, but I don't have a very local tack or farm supply store, so I paid the extra for the convenience of having them delivered in 2 days. I've used several, and again, just your average tack sponge. They did not fall apart yet or anything, and I've probably used 3 of them 10 times so far oiling a new saddle that is very thirsty! ;-)

Used on a rough surface they shed bits of sponge.
Size, absorbency, and softness are just right. But used on anything rough, little bits rip off. Perhaps I should use something other than a sponge to apply tung oil to old wood artifacts.

Great quality Tack sponges with many more uses than just with Tack!
Great quality tack sponges really a must have when it comes to proper care of leather items. Currently using to clean and oil my older western leather jackets. The sponges have stood up well so far to saddle soap and Obenauf's leather oil. And I'm sure they will do just as well on my saddle and halters. These will make cleaning and caring for my truck's leather seats even easier. Also just a tip to help make your sponges perform longer store the used ones separately in zip-lock bags labeled with what they were used to apply.

Pleasantly surprised
Bought these on a lark. I've always used regular household sponges to clean my tack and thought those did fine. These little sponges really clean leather quite well! It's like they exfoliate the dirt and sweat off your tack in short order. My only reservation? I'd prefer these sponges were larger and because I like them, I will check to see if there is a bigger version.

Good deal for a 12pk
Tack sponges are super helpful for cleaning all leather, not just equestrian tack (I use these on my husband's hand made dress shoes, my riding boots and saddles, and leather furniture). Some saddle soap and a bucket, and you are in business. Keep your sponge very wrung out and these will work well for you. I usually buy them at the feed store or through equestrian catalogs because they are good deals. These were a better deal for me this time. I hope they keep being a good deal.

Three Stars
Would of liked them cheaper.
