These are extremely nice pliers for a great price. Non-marring pads are fixed in place with screws that keep the pads from moving. Pliers are solid, precision piece.

Great pliers for working on my airbrushes. They don't scratch anything and work great.

Works great for me. We'll made in Japan. The jaws line up perfectly on the pair I received. If the pads are a little too slick for what you're holding onto, just use a little double-sided sticky tape on them. They don't mess up or scratch whatever you're trying to be gentle with. They do come with a set of replacement pads, and they're also available separately in packs of 4 for $10. I've enjoyed all the IPS pliers I've purchased in the Last year. The only thing that would make these better would be the addition of the spring function my other IPS pliers have, but that's not really a negative because they work well the way they are. The needle-nose version does have a spring and I'll be buying those next, and then 6-inch version of these. I've come to really appreciate Japanese tool manufacturing. They don't try to charge a small fortune for paying attention to the small details that make tools more enjoyable to use.

Many reviewers have pointed out that the plastic jaws are slippery. That is true, but not all is lost. They work perfectly if you know the little trick to making them work perfectly. These pliers are well made. The jaws are slick, but won’t mar. To make them non marring and non slip, wrap some double sided tape around whatever you’re taking apart. This will give you the gripping power to undo anything you’re trying to take apart. Just make sure it is clean, dry, and not oily when you put the tape on. Works like a charm.

I have 12 gauge 120V wiring in my home. It's thick and stiff and a royal hassle to pre-twist the wire ends before installing connector nuts. I refuse to use push-in connectors for hot load wires. I bought these to hold the wire bundle firm when twisting the ends of the wires with lineman's pliers. Since I feared even the plastic jaws would allow movement and nick or tear the wiring insulation, I cut a small piece of 1/4 inch vinyl hose, slit it down the middle and placed that around the wires as protection, then grabbed that setup firmly with these pliers. It works like a charm with double the protection and no slippage. The wires twist only near the ends and not all the way down like a giant hair knot, there's no damaged insulation and the wire nuts go over the nicely twisted wire ends for a good and solid connection. I've done up to four 12 gauge wires twisted together with this method and I'm sure more would work if needed. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Eine 100-prozentige Kratzsicherheit gibt es nicht Wenn wirklich Kratzer vermieden werden sollen, sollte man ein Stückchen Leder dazwischen legen. Mit der Zange konnte ich meine Brille problemlos zurück biegen, wo der Optiker sagte es gibt keine Option mehr.

These are just the thing to have to prevent unwanted burrs on surfaces. I highly recommend.

Excellent produit made in Japan. Je ne comprend pas pourquoi les magazins de bricolages ne vendent pas ça en Europe alors que c'est tellement plus pratique que de mettre un chiffon ou du scoth sur la pince pour éviter d'abimer ce que l'on pince! La pince a 2 cran pour des tailles différentes, et vient avec un embout en genre de nylon / HMDPE de remplacement.
