ShamWow 8 Mop Combo Pack

This is a very specific review for a specific purpose - I went backpacking for 5 days in late October, and our first night it poured rain. I had puddles in my tent despite tossing it up in record time when the deluge hit. I brought a lot of water in with me as I leapt inside with rain jacket and boots. I am a seasoned backpacker so I sighed and settled into the soggy situation, no worse for the wear and knowing rain was in the forecast. Then my cousin showed up at my tent side with a small sham-wow (cut from the larger orange one you get) and said, "Need this?" I thought it was a regular hand towel, which I welcomed, but it was even better. I sopped up probably a quart of water from my tent floor (that would have dampened my sleeping bag eventually) and the sham wow wasn't even wring-able after that. It made a big difference for the comfort of that night. I immediately bought some when I got home and will always carry one on outdoor trips from now on.

somehow i missed that it included a mop which for me is totally worthless. I should pay more attention to what i buy.

I have purchased sham wows in the past and have used them for everything imaginable. Per instruction launder them before first use for best absorption. I use them all over the house and in my car. Very long lasting. I basically bought this set for the mop which is included. The mob works pretty well, without getting my hands wet, The only downside is the is no scruffy surface to get up those tough patches like where a peanut butter and jelly sandwich landed upside down. Other than that, this is my favorite absorbent mop. I really got to use this new set plus my old ones when I had a plumbing leak in my bathroom. Soaked up all the water, then when I had time I wrung them out and dried them. All I can say is this a is great product. Don't be fooled my cheaper imitations.

this is not the first time I have bought this and it will not be the last. I cannot suggest any item more than these in terms of effectiveness and the ability to help our environment and reduce the need for chemicals. You can use a ShamWow to scrub a surface that usually needs chemicals to be cleaned and it will do the job far better with just water. it also will drive a car and have plenty absorption ability left for several more cars or other tasks if I use one of the large orange towels without having cut into sections yet. I usually buy the set of these every 2 to 3 years and have some left over from my prior purchase that are not worn out yet.

Mop is OK at best, it's more for drying up spills. Shamwows work better after washing. These are not the greatest for drying cars or boats after washing but great for kitchen clean ups and household stuff.

The mop cleans so much better than my sponge mop. It's hard for me to squeeze the water out using the twisting mechanizism that comes with the mop so I bought another brands mop bucket that has a wringer that works great. I cut the shamwow's into smaller squares and use for wiping counters and cleaning windows. I also love them for drying my dog and keep one by the door for when it rains. This is my 3rd time buying them as they do wear out eventually -the last time was about 7 years ago- well worth the price.

In my experience these shamwow products work as advertised. I keep a small one in my car. it soaked recently spilled code red out of the cloth seats. A full size one soaked a recently spilled BlackBerry mikes hard lemonade out of my living room carpet. They also work great for all the various spills on my kitchen counters and tile floors. i recommend them to people all the time. Follow the instructions, air dry only. my roommate machine dried my 7 year old set and ruined them. that's why i bought this new set.

I have been using shameow for a few years.always loved it and the mop is real convenient too.Didn't have to bend down for cleaning the floor anymore.
