Wouldn't hesitate in acquiring this unit if it's on deal. Read and write speeds are lighting on the console. Upto 2.1Gflops transfer speeds giving you between 12s to 2mins for decent triple a games.

Seems to do the job ..needed extra ssd memory as I only had 256 gb installed, and modern games taking evermore memory ( red dead redemption 115gb) an external ssd fitted the bill with 1 tb memory.Working well upto know ,it does get a little warm but it's tobe expected.

Probably my favourite external hard drive I've purchased. Build quality is excellent. The transfer speeds are very fast, even when transferring big or multiple files. Highly recommended.

pros+:the size and feel, the gripping feet on the drive,constant super quick data transfer-so perfect gaming drive and to me it was worth the money,easy to set up with steam, didnt even need formatting at the start.cons and kinda cons-:it can disconnect from the computer if not gaming-probably a good thing really as it can get hot-if this happens to you, just safely disconnect and hook it up again,go to steam settings (if using steam) in top left corner,go to downloads and add the game hard drive steam library folder on your WD hard drive to the download field.you shoud be good to go now.price-very expensive for the average casual gamer whose got a bog standard setup or an entry level gaming rig,if you have been into gaming long term though its worth it.tips:#keep it at an angle so the vents on the underside are kept free and it wont heat up as much.#transfer some of your big games to the gaming drive assuming you have a small non SSD hard drive like me (mine is a asus tuf 2020).

Setup couldn't be easier, just plug it in turn on the console and format the drive. Simple.I would have liked a slightly longer USB cable, an extra 10-20cms would let the drive sit further alongside the console instead of near the front.

I brought the WD BLACK P50 as a quick and easy game storage solution for my gaming PC. The PC has a 500GB HDD but only a 250GB SDD. It’s connected by USB 3 as I don’t have USB C but still runs fantastically.I currently have ARMA 3 and loads of its mods loaded on the drive and it loads and plays absolutely fine, better than the HDD.Recommend.

I use this to store my Xbox PC and Steam games and it does a great job. Not noticed any issues. Looks stylish as well.

Super fast, nice looking. Gets a little hot when using but so far so good.
