Was looking for a set of headphones that I could use for gaming when I didn't want my larger over the ear regular headphones on so I bought these hoping for the best after reading some reviews and...not so much. Sound was very "Muddy" and leaned heavy in the base but not in a good way. The details in games and songs are lost using these and the lows, mids and highs all seem to mush together. The mic picked up sounds from itself too and my friend would tell me they could hear themselves all the time. I used them twice and tried a variety of different size tips, positions, etc and after 3 days just gave up on them and they are now in the dust bin. I gave them an extra star because of the size and having a mic attached to something so small but other, unless you are use to $9 cheap earbuds, these are very poor in all areas. Kinda surprised coming from Thermaltake but it is what it is and should've known to good to be true

I am a gamer and love to game have been playing a lot of fortnite and i need headphones to listen for foot steps..... the headstep is a big disappointment i have heard complaints on some customers the the mic is to sensitive and pics up everything, including the earbuds it self. my friends complained that they could hear my game play even when the volume was turned to low even tho i bought them to hear and want the volume turned up. one wire is bigger then the other for the earphones and i didn't care much about the mic that attaches i could care less . even without the mic plugged in the other mic that is located on the volume on controls was very sensitive as well and picked up just about anything. head set is very good for playing solos but if you thinking of squading up be prepared to mute your mic constantly. i expected better and thinking to my self that the things happening to other people could not happen to others i was wrong very low quality earphones.

Although I'm a core gamer, I actually bought this headset for professional purposes. I wanted something that I could use for gaming but also wouldn't look like I was a fighter pilot when I was on conference calls. This headset has been great for both! It's more comfortable than I expected and I am always complimented on the voice quality. My only complaint is that the rubber ear bud portion tends to fall off if I take the ear piece out too quickly (I ended up losing one on a plane for that reason), just a word of caution. Otherwise, excellent product!Update 4/6/2017:The rubber "hooks" eventually wore and split through use, I ended up having to glue them in place but they continue to tear. The other, larger issue, is something that others have mentioned. I'm not sure the cause, but the microphone picks up a significant amount of the sound coming through the earbuds.

Quality seems good, sound is pretty good at this price point and build quality seems strong. I used my set on an xbox One controller with no issues and the mic worked very well also. My only complaint is fitment. Maybe it's my ears but the large saucer area that the red silicon adapters attach to is just too large in diameter and thickness putting too much pressure on the structure of my ears. Had it been smaller or they had an adapter that would make the tube sit further away, I could probably use them. Unfortunately, i couldn't get used to it even after a full week of 8-10hrs of gameplay each day.For comparison's sake, I'm an adult male using this with relatively average size ears (to my understanding). Similar ear buds such as the AKG ear buds that come with the Samsung Galaxy s8/s8+ don't bother me but these are too bulky to sit properly inside the ear cup.If you have average to large ear cups and are looking for an alternative to huge headphone type gaming headsets, this one is a good alternative.

So far I love this item, I really wanted a set of ear buds with a microphone because over the ear headphones squeeze my glasses frame into my skull and make me want to die! I was willing to accept a reduction in performance for the comfort and when they first arrived I plugged it into my front audio ports on my pc case and noticed a hum/buzz that seemed to get worse if I scrolled my mouse wheel. I searched the web unsuccessfully for similar issues with this specific item before I thought to make my search less specific. That's when I found the answer!If you are hearing a lot of static/buzzing/whistling/humming plug it into the back of your PC instead. Mine immediately became silent and now it is all I could have hoped for! I stream video games and play on-line multi-player RPG's and occasionally video chat with family so I'm not a heavy user.I'll come back and update after using them more.

These Headphone are something.Cons:-The headphones lengths are uneven.-Only in one color-A bit huge for the ear piece (Plastice piece)Pros:-Quality is amazing-Noise Cancelling Level 7 (These headphones can really cancel out noise for the price!)-Well made (slammed the cord, still in one piece)-Coolest aspect of these headphones is the mic THAT DETACHS (Pretty Cool)-Mic Quality Very clear!-Comes with a splitter (Very thoughtful and useful)Summary:These headphones are pretty amazing! I bought them when they were discounted, I play my music on them, Game on them and my friends say my voice is crystal clear! When I decide to go outside and use them I detach the mic and they become regular headphones. (Wish I could buy another pair) These headphones are great for what you want them for, BUT the original price is a bit expensive.
