My only disappointment with this clock was the material it's made from. At the time of writing this, the Amazon description is quite limited, so I viewed some other pages to help make my decision. These gave me the impression that the clock is made with (real) wood, rather than various engineered woods, as I now realise. Despite this, it's a lovely looking timepiece.The stock image of this clock does not do it justice. The finish is a 'normal' dark walnut colour. The gold trim blends beautifully with the dark surround.The initial set-up was quite simple. Importantly, the batteries must still have a good charge (ideally new) if you want to enjoy the chimes and pendulum movement. Having tried the different chime options I've settled for the simple 'Bim-Bam' (ding-dong) hourly chime, rather than the 'Westminster' (Big Ben) style chime (can also be switched off altogether if you prefer). The volume is easily adjustable, so you can choose your ideal level. Loud enough to be enjoyable, but not to upset any more sensitive occupants or neighbours.Another issue which may concern some is the tick from the pendulum movement may not be synchronised with the quartz movement. Barely noticeable if there's any other noise, but in a quiet room you may notice two independent ticks, which cannot be adjusted.Overall, a lovely clock, and it looks great over the mantelpiece. If you're here to consider buying one, then I would highly recommend it.

Sieht klasse aus, läuft super genau (obwohl leider keine Funkuhr) und Schlagwerk klingt gut. Verarbeitung ist sehr sauber und solide. Aufhängung ist idiotensicher einfach. Ist einfach ein Schmuckstück an der Wand im Wohnzimmer für die, die das "Moderne" nicht so lieben.

Ottimo materiale, leggermente più piccolo delle dimensioni pubblicizzate, regolazione della suoneria e disattivazione nelle ore notturne.Il movimento è al quarzo non con il pendolo, che è praticamente solo un accessorio di bellezza.Prezzo qualità ottimo.
