Excelent Quality for the price.
Just recieved this knife from Perkins. Now I buy alot of knives ,some good some bad. This one is one of the good ones. The sheath is great. The fact that its not dyed on the inside is a huge plus. I cant tell you how many knives Ive had turn red from the dye in the sheath bleeding in to the blade. The handle is top quality walnut, and is finished well. Now the steel.. I sharpen all my knives on recieving them on my Lansky 5 stone sharpener and it will show the true quality of metal used in the construction of the blade. This blade as thick and heavy as it is sharpened to a perfect edge. Not that it wasnt sharp to begin with Im just particular like that. For the price and the quality of materials used on this knife I give it 5 stars all the way. I will definitely buy more knives from Perkins of Essex UK.

Good looking knife, except for the slight warp in the blade
I just received this knife, I haven't tried chopping rocks with it or anything, but it seems to be a decent knife for $35. There are no cracks or rust, the handle is smooth, and the edge is sharp (enough for me, I'm no bladesmith). The leather seems alright as well. After handling the knife on the couch one day, I noticed that there's a pretty obvious bow in the blade.( see picture)I'll try to remember to update the review if anything unfortunate happens, or I notice anything else.

Bought 6 of them as groomsmen gifts
Some of them were great, others had issues with the wooden handles being uneven on both sides. Very noticeable. Pretty disappointed about that. There was also crud in the handle holes in most of them.Seems like an attention to detail problem over all. They looked like they were hand made though which is nice.Blades look really cool.Sharp.Sheath is very well made. Real leather.Price is great.Pretty heavy which i like.Balanced very well.

Thrilled!
Am thrilled with this knife! I collect damascus hunting knives and am a deer hunter! This is a beautiful folded blade, sturdy and sharp! I used it in the kitchen and perfect for slicing and chopping! Handle just right and not slick with wet hands! Shape would work fine for deer skinning! Have never thought of this shape for dressing a deer, but can't wait to try! If it is not too wide for the gutting process, this may be the perfect deer hunt knife, capable of all chores! Also fits sheath perfectly and sheath has security snap strap! Am totally happy with this purchase!

Not new, missing sheath.
Seems like a nice knife, nice and sturdy, thick blade and full tang with a classic look to it. The problem was that it arrived in a re-sealed box, and didn't include a sheath. It was advertised as "new" and "with sheath", and I received a used knife with no sheath. With no sheath, I guess it's a kitchen knife now as it won't be traveling with me.Edit: I'd love to give this more stars, fits great in the hand, great size and weight as well.

Three Stars
Nice but very small handle! Would fit a child's hand perhaps?

Frowny face...
Don't be fooled by the big mark down. I could pop the handle scales off with my finger nail and I had to sharpen it myself. I'm also not sure, but I feel like the Damascus pattern may have been etched onto the blade. Which would explain why they could work a 'Damascus' billet this thick could go so cheap. Otherwise it is nice and heavy, great for chopping.

Bout to go Hunting!!
This knife is cool! I feel like I'm a barbarian going after some tiny animal in the woods with this knife. Comes with some leather socket too so that's awesome. It's sharp, has a good grip, and hopefully I can find something useful with it. Why did I buy? Cause it's cool.

Sehr brauchbar

Klare Kaufempfehlung!
