Our popular Animal Kingdom and Plant Kingdom posters were published in 2004 and their primary purpose was to provide an introduction to the various living species in accordance with the classification system introduced by Carl Linnaeus in 1735, which grouped species by phyla, orders and families. That system has since become obsolete due to the widespread adoption of the new Cladistics classification system, which is based on the development of physical characteristics and arranges organisms by their order of branching in an evolutionary tree. It has been used in most universities and colleges since the late 1990s and is now finding it ways into the grade schools. This new poster shows this new system. This poster describes all ten divisions of the plant kingdom. Many representational species are shown. They include many extinct species of special interest to paleontologists. Customers have been universally impressed with the quality, beauty and detail of these posters. Pictures do not do them justice! This is a new type of poster that we call content intensive posters. Each provides a comprehensive overview of the subject presented through extraordinary images and fact-filled text. They are designed to appeal to people who enjoy reading books, watching informative and/or educational shows on cable television and subscribing to such magazines as "National Geographic", "Smithsonian" and "Scientific American". They have great educational value and are cherished by teachers, students and professionals. All posters are printed on very heavy, high-quality "hard" paper that preserves tiny details. Posters are then specially coated to provide a satin finish that reduces glare and enhances their presentation. These are the same high standards used to produce expensive art prints. Artists are selected on the basis of their illustration skills and their knowledge of the subect. Many have both art and science degrees. This ensures an accurate presentation of the subject.

Nice poster with one mistake
***UPDATE****It looks like this poster has been redesigned. My original review no longer seems relevant.***ORIGINAL REVIEW***Nice poster with a couple mistakes; hornworts are indeed non-vascular plants. A vascular plant with the Latin name Ceratophyllum, is often commonly referred to as hornwort, but it in fact an angiosperm. Also, there is a fern under the caption seed plants. Pretty big mistakes to make on an educational poster. Other than that a nice illustration of the various plant groups.
