Great and very handy!
This is a nice size and very easy to use. You just click and scan and it finds the chip pretty fast. It's easy to read and very reliable. Definitely worth the buy!

It read the microchip fine.
Works OK. It reads the chip number, but you still have to enter into lost pet websites to find the owner's details. Which is fine if you can get rhe stray animal to trust you enough to get it somewhere safe.

Didn't work
We bought this to check the chip status of a cat who herself moved in a year ago. We'd finally given in and allowed her pet status, so to celebrate she needed to go to the vet. The scanner said no chip so I took her over there. That's where I went wrong. Within a few minutes of arriving they'd found her chip and were trying to trace her owners. Thankfully they couldn't trace them, so her pet status remains. It'll be some before she forgives me for incarcerating her in a box and putting her in a car - and yes I've resorted to bribery to beg her forgiveness. I could have had a bad one but the one that I had was useless, defective, generally only good for the bin.

Good cheap and works
Bought to check microchip numbers of my cats. Found chip numbers easily. No way of clearing previously found microchips and when downloaded information, there as a random number that was not one of my cats. Still useful to have but when you scan a cat, take a photo of the screen otherwise there is no way of sorting which number belongs to which cat

Good little scanner
Although this scanner is cheap, it does exactly what it needs to do. It works well.

Small and easy to pop in bag
Smaller than I expected, however it works ok and fits into my microchipping bag easier than the halo.

Amazing!
Came today and I scanned the two strays. Amazing and easy to use without the instructions. I found that one stray had a microchip but the other didn't. I've recommended this product to others.
