I have ordered this pack before and it was great. no issues or complaints, the stitching punches were of great quality in my opinion, the threads were well packaged, needles were also of good quality.. the glover needles were very sharp and the stitching needles were smooth and easy to pull through the punched holes, and just pointy enough to pierce the thread to secure the thread to the needle as to not slip out of the eye.. I had my 1st order and was using it, a family memeber that was visiting wanted to get a set before they were to go home.. however the order would of been here later in the day that we ordered it, so I gave my pack to them and awaited the new pack.. everything was of the same quality however the scissors that come with the kit are different than the ones in my 1st pack and still work well for cutting the threads so no issues but wanted to note that they may vary from one order to another. I am overall very pleased and may order more packs for starter gifts to some other family members that were thinking of getting into the art of leather crafts and sewing. Thank you.

I've been working leather pretty much all my life; my dad passed these skills on to me, he did the Tandy Leather Leathersmith classes decades ago while he was still in high-school, and he was adamant we learned these skills as it was crucial to fixing and making our own tack for horsing. This little kit is perfect for/as an expanded, basic sewing kit. For 10 bucks, yeah, it's a steal - hell, a spool of synthetic sinew is the same price, so yeah it is worth the money twice over. I'll be resoling my moccasins 1st thing with this set and making some sporrans too; will definitely recoup my investment in the making of one piece.

I was amazed at the quality of the components in this kit. The thread was strong, the needles didn't bend & the hole punches handled being hammered on. For the meager cost this a great way to get into sewing leather.

Like the title says, this kit is excellent for beginners because it is cheap and includes 99% of all you need to begin your crafting journey. The quality of the binding material isn’t too bad, but my old gripe is that this kit doesn’t include any leather or artificial sinew. I can’t really fault it for this because the rest of the items are such good value for cost. Overall I recommend this item because of the cheap price and the amount of items you receive. If you pick up this hobby you don’t have to feel bad if you don’t like it because you only spent $10-$20 on it (including price of this kit and 3rd party leather)

Got this to replace some stitching on a saddle. Took some time to get used to using it. It didn't take long and I was able to get the job done. Every thing you need to stitch leather is there and the tools work very well. If used as intended the quality is there for them to last. I was extremely happy because I actually saved money by buying them as " used " but new because the box that the kit was in was damaged. Everything was there nothing was missing. I didn't care about the box I couldn't use it to what needed to be done.

Super Easy to use, Decent quality Basic kit. Easy to figure out what to do. Needles are all good & EZ to thread. You will need your own Leather and a decent small hammer. Good Value.

So far, so good with this kit. I mainly bought for the stitching chisels. After looking at other options with bad reviews of stitching chisels breaking I decide to go with this one. I've used at least 3 of them with no problem, they go straight thru with little effort. Some of the needles are pretty big for the holes the chisels make, but everything seems fine. I've done 2 practice pieces so far.

Solid intro to leatherwork set at a low price. Everything will be upgraded at some point but it was really good to start with.
