Versatile fairy lights with a convenient remote
This string of fairy lights was exactly what I was hoping it would be based on the description: long, powered by USB, and easy to control with the remote.I bought this set with the intention of using it for a specific event ("Narnia Day" at my son's school, where we used it along with some birch limbs to provide "magical" ambient light) but it's been a hit in my household because it's easy to drape around anything and fun to change with the remote. It mostly lives in our reading nook now, but it's been dragged out camping and all over the house in the last month.I sought out a USB-powered string because that gives us maximum flexibility: if we're setting them up near an outlet, I can use one of our many USB-wall chargers to power it. If not, I can use one of our power banks (that's how it worked on the camping trip). The point is that we don't have to know in advance what will make sense—for example, for the school decor, I brought a small power bank AND a wall charger because I wasn't sure where we'd be using it, and we ended up using the power bank.(Do note: this doesn't come with either a power bank/battery OR a wall charger. You'll need to have your own. This was fine by me as we have loads of both, but if you don't, make sure you plan ahead to get one.)My one and only quibble is that the power end of the string is a relatively thick black cable (see the attached picture). Given the beautiful, thin wire of the strand itself, and the fact that fairy lights are tiny and delicate, the power end stands out like a sore thumb. I wish they'd used transparent or even white plastic instead.Obviously, when it's dark, you aren't going to notice it, but for daytime "ambience" applications, or if it's in a semi-permanent location where it'll be visible day and night, you'll either need to take pains to hide the black cable or accept its limitations. (Of course, if you're putting it on something like a black bookshelf, this might be a "pro" and not a "con" for you.)

Great product concept but only lasted one day
Great product, but I deducted 2 stars because after 1 day 1/2 of the lights stopped working.Working with seller now on a resolution. Will update this review once the resolution is complete.The problem was resolved promptly and adequately. The lights are gorgeous! I love them!

Great Quality! Comes with remote and 8 different modes
Great quality! Really like the 8 different modes that the remote control provides for the lights. Even has a timer to turn off lights after a certain amount of time. Also has a dimmer option to customize the brightness of the lights. I have spent more money on similar lights from Hobby Lobby and they didn't come with a remote. These lights are so much better. The battery box is also waterproof if you wanted to use these outside.
