Seems to be working as it is supposed to
Plugged this thing in, and it initially indicated a high number - - which got my attention. But as I watched it - it started counting down.Right now, it reads as zero (which is what it is supposed to read). So - I am assuming that it is working.

Nice unit will give peace of mind.
I bought this because my mom has a gas range and in the past has bumped into it and turned on the gas by accident. This will be helpful if that happens again by giving a warning before anything bad happens.

Propane leak detector
It appears this detector will work in my RV. It hasn’t detected anything yet but I’m testing it next week.

Easy to use!
Arrived quickly and very easy to use. Was one of the few items I found that monitors presence of leaking gas and carbon monoxide. So far very happy with purchase.

This product has good features and benefits.
This product is well built and compact it's well worth the cost compared to the cost of ones life it may save mine one day!I had my own chimney sweep business and I know smoke kills more victims then fire it is a silent killer, so is gas. Why risk yourself and your entire families well being when the technology to protect you is available and inexpensive? Not that I don't trust this product but you have more than one smoke detector in your home I suggest you buy two gas detectors just in case of malfunction or some one accidentally covers your detector up with a lose garment or a blanket falls off a bed etc. I keep one low to the ground because propane is heavier than air and sinks towards the ground. I keep one mid range in height for other gases you may be using in your boat or RV. I keep one close two my propane heater and one close to my stove in my RV. I know I will be alerted by two alarms before any gas reaches our beds. Children our heavy sleepers and so am I after a day hike, two alarms means twice as loud and may also alert other campers around you. Sleep well and wake up to a fun day ahead of you!

Propane and co2 detector...Blank screen not counting down anymore after 2 weeks
I will be returning this I had questions as mine I did not think was detecting gas. I could smell gas I plug this in and put this next to it and nothing happens. Also I put a 9-volt battery in here which in the questions it says you may use a regular 9 volt. No do not use a regular 9 volt it only lasted about one minute and then got so hot I removed it I was afraid it was going to explode. The seller had answered questions that says yes regular or rechargeable battery will work in case of power outage that is not the case. I've only had it a few weeks and now the screen won't turn on and do the countdown. I do not know if mine was damaged in shipping or not ....I will unplug it and plug it back in three or four times and then it works like the countdown is working again. I will be returning this I thought maybe it was just not enough gas for the detector to detect but I believe this one is broken.

some design tweaks wouldn't hurt, but pretty good
The cord design is certainly robust, and versatile for uses like sitting on counter, or mounted low for homes with liquid gas. Wall mounting bracket works well too. But for mounting a foot from ceiling as ideal placement for detection natural gas, issues it has is that display is not readable at big angle, I'd have to stand step stool to see it, and a small USB cord would have been better for lower profile installation. Micro USB cables are thinner and can buy like 10 feet so wouldn't need extension. The standard plug cable on this wasn't long enough to reach down to plug directly below, so I had to use an extension cord. The voice/talking is cool. Great price for what seems like a well made device. Hopefully the protection it provides is legit.Other note: Just saw is suppose to be rechargeable 9V battery put in it for power outs, think I put a standard battery in mine, going to go remove that as probably not safe.

Doesn't work right
I thought this worked since I plugged it in and all was good BUT..... I have now placed this item in my RV is several different places and even though ALL windows are open and there is NO propane leaking anywhere (only propane I have is a small 1 pound canister on the camp stove - it goes off whenever it feels like. I disconnected and stuck on a shelf - garbage would be a better idea I think.
