Top of the line Remote for Liftmaster Garage Door Openers
I have a garage door opener from around 2010, but I needed to be certain that any remote I acquire would be compatible with a current door opener systems. This certainly filled the need, being capable of interfacing with openers having a green, red/orange, purple, or yellow wire antenna. I have a Learn button that is partially hidden by a ceiling beam, so identifying the type of opener system had to be done using wire color. Programming the remote was simple using a simple button in the middle of the back. Once it was pressed, all one needs to do is press the large button on the left a certain number of times, followed by one of the two buttons on the right (which locks in the type of RF communication method used to signal the door opener). Getting the door to recognize the remote is done using time proven methods. An owner quickly presses the Learn button on the back of the garage door opener, followed by pressing and holding the open button of the remote. One or two relay clicks later, the garage door opener acknowledges that it has learned the code. Release the button on the remote. Next time it is pressed, the door should open. This setup process is as frustration-free as possible with modern electronic equipment. Pairing a bluetooth headset with a phone can be a nightmare by comparison. I am pleased to report that the battery inside the remote is a Duracell, which has the longest life of any lithium cell battery according to independent tests. The case seems to be sturdy, the buttons have a positive feel, and the transmission distance of the remote is at least one and a half to two car lengths. My previous remote was very finicky and weak, even with a new battery. With increasing crime rates, the last thing a consumer needs is an ancient remote that is slow to open a door. Do yourself a favor and purchase a new, reliable remote.

Works with different brands and generations of door openers
This solved my need for a remote that would work on two openers that use different frequencies. The remotes that came with the openers would only open the door that had that opener. So you needed two remotes if you wanted to be able to open both doors. This is a universal remote and you can program each of the three buttons to a different opener if needed. Programming is very easy. All you need to see is the color of the programming button on the opener and you need to be able to reach the program button well enough to push it. Then just follow the easy directions and this one remote will replace the need to have two or three remotes to open your doors. I have one of these that has functioned well for several years, so when I needed a second universal remote, I bought this identical unit with confidence that it will last along time and passed over the many inexpensive remotes that are available.

Worked fine. Instructions leave much to be desired
Worked fine. Instructions leave much to be desired! The number of times to press the buttons based on the color of the learn on the opener is not really clear. The instructions say to press it multiple times and then learn. What it does not say is that you then have to press it a number of times again after the learn button. I am pretty sure you have to do the after the learn button presses the right number of times, but the before may only need to be once. I am not sure as I only tried it a few times and did not retest. However, the after the learn presses can be as many times as you like! When it hits the right number, it will make the opener click/flash and you know you are done. Press any other button and then it works.I bought 2 of these. I have 3 garage door openers. One is purple, one is orange, and the 3rd is red. It now works with all 3.I think the openers can only be programmed to have 5 or 6 remote codes. At first I thought 5, but then I found another remote laying around that still worked. When you learn a 7th one, it deletes the oldest one you programmed. I think the best thing to do is press learn with a long press to erase all codes and then relearn all the remotes you want to use with it. Then try the first one you programmed to be sure it still works. The one thing I don't like is the size. It is a bit small and the clip is too big for it. Also, the large button is on the left. Every other opener remote I have had the large button is on the right. I will get use to it though.

Works Great...Purchasing and Programming is Maddening
This remote works fine. Determining if it is the right one for your opener is an adventure. I finally went back on line to the original documentation for the LiftMaster model opener that I have and found part numbers for recommended replacement parts for openers. They listed two which helped. I played it safe and when with this one as I do not have three garages and a security gate. PROGRAMMING was far more difficult than it needed to be. There are 4 steps in the instructions. The sentence structures are too complex to be easily followed. And it seemed to me that one of these step was out of order!!!! I admit that I don't do this every day but com'on this is not rocket science. I was out there for an hour. I finally went on Youtube and found the right video and with those instructions successfully programmed this within a minute. I don't even want to waste the time trying to explain how messed up the instructions are. Throw them away and watch the video.

Works perfectly!
Needed an extra remote for our detached garage to keep in the house, this way we can open it from the house and start the car on those freezing days. Easy to pair with the garage door unit. Only took a minute.

Love these garage door openers
I have 3 of these (1 for each my cars, and 1 for guests or relatives visiting.) They are super easy to program and very durable and actually program well with your car (if your car has compatible software/program functionality.)
