This part fits acncient Smith Victor photoflood lamp fixtures....
After searching high-and-low, I found this switch to replace a failed part in a 40-year-old Smith Victor photoflood lamp fixture I use in studio and product photography. I know, I know...this is kinda off-beat and obscure, but these fixtures are just great for their intended purpose, you and still get the ECT lamps for them, and sometimes there is just no-replacing hot-lights when trying to get just the right shot while photographing something, especially on film (which you can also still buy, and it's making a resurgence in popularity because film "sees" things differently than digital stuff does, and resolution is often better). Now that I know what I need to maintain these lights, I can buy more to repair other failures. Nice that they are a common-part for lots of other applications.

Replaced broken RIGID wet/vac (Shop vacuum) perfect fitment
My older RIGID 4.5 HP wet/dry shop vacuum switch failed, and after looking around, this is the exact fitment and voltage, and because it is a recessed toggle, it will not break off like the original switch. Remove the shop vac top, unscrew four screws, and pop off the (black) top, and the plastic spring detents easily bend in and remove the terminal connection. Reconnect the switch, click-lock into place... reattach the four screws, boom, job done, working as good as new.

Replacement fit for HY35C
Have a bench grinder whose HY35C switch melted together. This was an adequate replacement and not $22 like actual branded HY35C switches. It's a nice, snug fit in the grinder's cut-out, but doesn't have quite the same sturdy "feel" as what it replaced. The switch is "softer" with less of a definitive "click" when switching off to on and back again. If you know what I mean. I just installed it 30 seconds ago, so no idea how long it will lsat.

Perfect!!
I have a shopvac (I’ll leave the brand unknown) that I’ve owned for more than 20+ years. It still works great but my switch was wearing out. I found it normal to turn on but turning it off started to be very difficult. Eventually it got to the point where I had a lot of trouble turning it on and off. I knew the switch was going bad but trying to find another one I figured was going to be a challenge. Well, I looked at the the information on the switch, typed it in on Amazon and BAM! It brought up the very switch I needed!! Ordered it and within a day it arrived! Changed it out (which was only two wires with butt connectors) and it was running just like new again!I love how easy modern technology can be!!Thanks to the seller & Amazon!
