Fantastic product
Excellent product. Great quality and great sound. Good to use with the headphones or separately purchased amp. Highly recommend. Easy to set up and put away. Does not take up too much room.

Great for beginners and experienced drummers alike.
My first electronic kit and this was a great decision. Everything was very well packed, well made, easy to set up and get started. I am really pleased that I can practice at home without all the noise.

Use with a PC if you want expensive sound for cheap.
It's unfair to judge an electric drum machine on audio sample quality (or "how it sounds") in my opinion. If you hate the sounds that come out of it, Buy a MIDI cable for £10 and set up an old laptop or computer with a free drum program on it. There, your £200 drum kit now sounds five times as expensive as it was. I recommend setting up any digital audio workstation with "MT power drum kit" VSTi plugin. As for all instruments, it goes without saying, quality and price have a general correlation, and £200 is very much a budget option. In terms of playing quality, it does the job. It's very clearly a beginner's kit, feels okay to play, great to fool around with and see if you'd like to continue with drums any further. I got it because it was cheap and I wanted a MIDI input for my computer that resembled a drum kit. That's exactly what I got, it's exactly what it says on the tin. It works, it sends MIDI signals with good accuracy. If drums aren't going to be your main instrument or you're just testing the waters with them, or you're like me and don't mind having them set up next to a computer, this cheap little kit is perfect. As for actual professional drumming, however, you shouldn't be reading a review written by someone who probably isn't a drummer on a beginner's drum kit. Behave yourself and go look at something more expensive. To iterate once again, if you are willing to use a MIDI cable to a PC for this instead of plugging headphones straight in, it will sound like any drum kit on earth, including ones a thousand times better sounding than the sample kits included. You are not limited to the sounds of the drum kit alone. Please do look into this option, no matter what cheap electric drum kit you buy.

Compact & MIDI
Ok so there are many electronic drum kits out there. I wanted one that was compact due to limited space and that could trigger MIDI synths/samplers/drum machines etc. I was surprised at how good the onboard sounds are. I write my own songs and upload them to sites like Spotify/iTunes etc so I have access to some quality gear in my studio. Some of the kick drums really make the room shake. Overall the kits sound excellent for the price and can be tuned an customised easily. There are a lot of sounds to go through. I wanted to start recording drums from a kit via MIDI rather than programming drum patterns or finger drumming on my MPC. The note latency was fine connected to my computer so now I can trigger any sound I like from my computer. Handy for layering multiple sounds on one pad or editing notes after recording. The note lengths the unit produces are very short. You may have to adjust the decay of whatever sound you are using. And the velocity variation from soft to hard wacking the pad wasn't quite as dynamic as I thought it would be but was very usable.Overall I'm really pleased with my purchase.

Weak snare pad casings.
Went through 2 snare pads in 2 weeks as the casing is weak - This should really be specified as a kids kit as the snare casing is simply too flimsy for any proper consistent drumming. I don’t hit that hard and use proper wrist technique. I returned it but for a smaller human it is actually brilliant it’s just the snare letting it down. Kits are decent for the money and it’s very light and easily put together.
