A great salad spinner. This salad spinner has a clear container that shows the activity. The handle/spinning system has a great amount of torque. You simply push down on the handle, let it up and the spinning action begins. To stop the unit from spinning, there is a brake button. There is a hold-down button/release. I think leaving the handle in the up position will keep the spring out of compression and extend the spring life, but this will make storage a bit more bulkier.

I love this. I have had them before that used a string pull. String gets frayed after only a few uses and then it breaks and the whole thing is in the trash. I love that this isn’t like that. It is the perfect size. I use it to prep greens for the week and store them in this in the fridge. My lettuce lasts much longer. Just don’t use a knife to cut it (tear it). There is something about the metal in a knife that makes it break down quicker.

We have had many salad spinners over the years. This one seems like it will outlast them all.

No problems with this product. Perfect size for - eh- 4-6 adults’ salad. I don’t need leaves completely dry. Just not dripping after a wash. Usually I can get a quarter cup poured out after a spin. I don’t use the break as I think letting it spin until it stops on its own will continue to expel more water. I place it on a towel to keep it from traveling on the counter while I attend to other things

I received one of these at my bridal shower and absolutely fell in love with it. I had never used one before and it's great for so many things. I ranted and raved about this thing so much that my girlfriend insisted I get her one for her birthday, so I did and she absolutely loves it too!

It does what it suppose to do. Dry, spin the lettuce. You can't put too much lettuce in the spinner if you do it take several spins to rinse out lettuce. Great size. Pretty serving bowl and easy to clean.

Spins so fast it will actually burn calories off of the salad BEFORE you eat it!!

It's a Christmas gift so it hasn't been used yet but for spinning water off lettuce
