Haier HC27SW20RV 2.7 cu ft Refrigerator - Virtual Steel

This mini fridge fits perfectly under my desk. I had originally ordered one from Walmart but was damage and was expelling white smoke/vapor from the back when it was plugged in. Decided to re-order from Amazon, due to being sold out at Walmart. Was cheaper on Walmart, about $40 difference. However the second one from Amazon was not damage and working great :) So I am happy with the purchase. The fridge does make a little noise when cooling but nothing that is bothersome (in my opinion). Has a lot of storage for drinks and food.

Came with excellent packaging that protected it from shipper's rough treatment. Corner of box was partially collapsed upon arrival. May have slipped from someone's grasp for a moment.Waited to write the review to see how long I would enjoy it.Bought this in August. Set it up and plugged it in (in my bedroom) and it has been going like a champion ever since!I have turned it off once to defrost it when I noticed the frost was interfering with the freezer door and it wasn't closing tightly. There is a water collection tray under the freezer where the melted ice went and made defrosting it a snap!I poured the water out of the tray, cleaned the interior while I had the door open, and turned it back on.Voila! Perfect performance!I remember one reviewer saying they couldn't stand the noise it makes. Perhaps they have a different unit. I have never been bothered by the noise it makes. Occasionally I will hear it click on or off. Nothing disturbing in the least.The freezer is large enough to hold 2 ice cube trays, a couple of small frozen dinners, or a couple of small boxes of ice cream bars. Not huge, but neither was the price or the weight to carry it up a flight of stairs.Excellent product!Used this daily right until I gave it away in December 2019. Never failed working perfectly. Never developed annoying noises. I miss not having it anymore, but my need for it is gone.If I ever need a small 'fridge' again I'll definitely look for this one!

I absolutely love this refrigerator! A friend has moved in and we're in the process of turning the upstairs sort of into an apartment. We decided to go with the color black for the appliances, so I was thrilled to find this small black refrigerator. When I say small, I don't mean the boxy type that I had when I went to college. This fridge is taller and more compact.The storage unit on the inside of the door is deep enough to hold most any single serving size beverage. We loaded it up with soda pop, juices, water and pints of milk. The freezer door actually has a tight seal and keeps things frozen. You can actually make ice cubes in it! The main part of the refrigerator has a lot of space.One thing I was super impressed with is how quickly the refrigerator got cold when I turned it on. I expected it to take a few hours, but within an hour it was plenty cold and the freezer part was very chilled.For anyone looking for a small compact refrigerator, I highly recommend this one. Whether it's used for a college dorm room, in a small apartment, a workout room, or at the office, you'll discover that this fridge holds a lot and will be very handy to have.Price wise, I thought the price was fair. I didn't want to go with the cheapest, nor with the most expensive one. I also wanted a fridge that would be easy to set up.

Really liked it for a year. Then I started noticing ice build ups in the freezer box. I'm going to defrost and unplug for a few days, and hope it resumes cooling things like it used too. Otherwise, I'll have had a year and a half use out of this unit. Pretty sad when I really just use it for beverages, and maybe the occasional take out container. I wouldn't recommend, even though the size was perfect for my area in the garage.

It did take a bit for me to receive the item because they were having some issues. I did at first have problems with contacting the seller but the owner called and apologized and said he would be correcting the people working in the customer service department. My husband was very happy with it. A word of advice make sure that you let it sit for 24 hours before pluging it it to ensure that everything is settle back in it. Also I found out that there is a warranty on it for 5 years which is great to know so if it does break down it will be repaired for free. All in all when it is said and done I am happy with the product and I know that the service did improve. My husband was very happy to have this for work and it will help out on his cost of food now. This fridge is pretty large considering it doesn't have a dedicated freezer. It is quiet for the most part, though will randomly have noisy moments. It definitely runs on the cold side so you don't need to turn it up very high. It looks very nice in my office.

Disliked the dent on the side of the door when it arrived, though it wasn't enough to affect refrigeration, so kept it. Also disliked the freezing effect on sandwich bread in the main compartment even though the temp setting is at 3. Otherwise happy with the choice.

From the reviews I reading was worried about getting a faulty one or having the freezer part freeze the rest of my food. But the freezer and fridge do a good job being separated. I moved the ice cube trays from the freezer to the shelf right below it and the ice cubes melted. The stuff in the door next to the freezer has not frozen either while the food in the freezer does stay frozen. It did not come dented or anything. It's very quiet. The section in the door meant for a 2 liter of soda will fit a half gallon of milk and you could fit a full gallon laying on it's side as well. Good buy well worth the money
