1" 5 Way Pipe Fitting Malleable Iron Black Outlet Cross Female Tube Connector (1 Inch)

It was exactly what I need but due to the weight it was holding I snapped it in pieces. Not ment for more than 100lbs of force.

These worked great for what I need them for. No galling and had good thread engagement.

Was looking for a heavyweight fitting that would support weight. This one looks like it would break under the pressure

Strong enough for building tables with pipe. Threads work with pipe that you get from the big box store.

After a few months split apart through the middle. Upon inspection there was a crack in the casting. The metal is very thin.

I liked that it had 5 openings. That’s all! It’s a 1/4” shorter than a regular “T”. It doesn’t have enough thread capacity to get a good fit. I put it on my gas line to give me room to install a fitting for my generator. After installing, with yellow Teflon tape, I checked for leaks. 4 connections leaked. I broke it apart and added 3 times as much tape as should have been required and put it back together. I tightened it as tight thought I could without splitting. It held but tightening it that much was scary. It’s a very light weight an thin fitting. Knowing what I know now, I’d go to Home Depot or Lowe’s next time. Ace didn’t have one. I do not recommend this fitting!

Do not try to use this for gas if you value your life. Dimensions not plumbing standard so it is too small to use with standard fittings and dimensions. Do not buy.

I purchased this for a craft project and it worked fine, but I would not use these on any water or gas piping cause they probably will break trying to get them to seal.
