Heavy duty and reliable to stay on.
It is hard to figure out how to fit it and then clip it once on your dog. You get the hang of it though. However, it has provided a night and day difference in the response from my dog. Luckily, I have a trainer who recommended this as opposed to the regular prong collar and she has helped me use this correctly and get away from the normal "snap and correct" of the prong collars. This one, you simply apply a minimum amount of pressure by pulling upwards, and the dog reacts quickly with minimal need for verbal commands to assist. Recommend! It is pricey, though! My dog is about a 90lb Rottweiler for reference.

No more pulling!
Walking my enthusiastic border collie used to feel like a constant tug-of-war, as he would pull with all his might, thinking he was leading a sled. However, since using this collar, our walks have been transformed into enjoyable and controlled experiences. The collar’s innovative design effectively curbs his pulling behavior without causing me any discomfort. I’ve noticed a remarkable difference in his behavior, as he now walks beside me with ease. The collar has been a game-changer, providing both of us a stress-free and enjoyable way to explore the outdoors. If you’re struggling with a pulling pup, I can’t recommend this collar enough – it’s truly remarkable!

Great product, maybe not a slip-on, but that's how I use it.
I trust it. It's German steel and German engineering; things they do well. I bought two, and took out a link on one to add to the other. So, I wish they would sell another pack of links for folks who may just need one!My dogs have "normal" cloth/leather collars, so I keep their leashes with these German products on and attached to the leash to slip on/off their heads for the daily 3 miles). It works for me by taking one link out of one and lending it to the other, in terms of getting easily on/off their heads without risking escape. My bigger guy, at 55lbs, has a more pointed head; the smaller girl at 45 lbs has a bigger head and broader shoulders--even with the donated link it's a little tight for a slip on/off situation. But it's great. And pricey. So be aware of what you're getting into. If used as a permanent collar, this wouldn't be a problem--but I'm wary of putting anything with too much metal around their necks.Pulling is absolutely controllable, but I'm a 165lb dude who does the 3 miles on the daily, as much as possible. YMMV. Overall, highly recommended, but know what your purpose is, for the price. My big guy needed some pull control; the girl didn't, but I blinged out for the matching set :)

At first, I wasn't sure if this was a good idea...
I bought this collar after trying two popular harness brands and 6 weeks of training classes. In March of this year, I adopted an American Terrier mix as a rescue. She is a fairly obedient dog, but she goes insane when she sees rabbits. There was some hesitation about using a traditional collar because she would pull until she coughed from choking. We thought the harnesses would work, but even with the lead clipped in the front (which is supposed to deter pulling), she would twist herself around.I bought this collar after doing some research and was immediately impressed by the difference it made. We don't know much about her past, so it's possible she wore a collar like this in the past. But, for whatever reason, her pulling ceased as soon as we put it on. My dog now walks alongside us rather than dragging us along, and if she sees a rabbit, she will only pull until the collar cinches, at which point she will sit.The materials are high quality, and removing the links is simple. My only complaint is that the carabiner's twist mechanism can become stuck, and if you remove the collar by unclipping it (rather than sliding it on and off), and feeding the chain through the hole and clipping it together can be difficult at times.

Love this but
I love this product. When I first bought it my little dude fit perfectly into it. Unfortunately he grew a lot more than we anticipated. I would love to keep using this but I have the smaller version. Is it possible to return the smaller one and get the bigger one? I would love to keep using this if that’s possible

It works but not impressed
It definitely looks better than the traditional prong collar. I can't say that it works better either. But stops the pulling when I give her a correction and word.My only complaint is it leaves a dark mark around her neck. I take off when we get in the house so at most it's on 1-3 hours while we are outside.I'm my opinion it's a little pricey but I'll continue to use it just because it looks better than the traditional.

Great collar!
I really like the clip for putting collar on and off. Easy to use. I am using the collar on my reactive rescue dog. It helps with corrections when out on our daily walks.
