Effective & Quiet
We had the 52" Westinghouse Comet installed 3 months ago and are quite happy with its performance. It provides whisper quiet performance on all three speeds, and it's just the right size to effectively cool for our moderately sized living room. The overhead light provides even illumination when we need it. It looks great in the matte black finish.

Great buy!
So easy to install! Was up and running so fast. Fan works really well. Fan isn’t noisy. Would buy over and over again!

Really mediocre instructions, lights have no dimmer (just on/off)
I purchased this because Consumer Reports rated it highly. It's supposed to be very quiet and energy efficient. The latter is not my top concern, so I'm not going to test for that. It is *somewhat* quiet, but if I want to do audio recordings in this room I would still need to turn the fan completely off.I would have preferred it with bronze/brass hardware and a nice medium brown wood grain, but the high tech black look does complement my computer/monitors tech look.A few minor negs:1) REALLY disappointed that the light does not have multiple dimmer options. It's just on/off, and on is pretty bright.2) Installation instructions are embarrassingly lacking. Several things I had to figure out. For example, you may want to mount the blades BEFORE you try mounting the fan because it's a real shenanigan. The top of the light fixture comes pre-installed on the motor. It would have been easier to mount the fan blades if that were not in the way. It has a slot that leaves enough space to get at one fan blade's pair of mounting screws. They are not provided separately, and that is not detailed in the instructions. It just says to use the screws and lock washers "provided". You have to remove them from the motor housing (once you have figured out which ones they are). There are other things that could have been explained much more clearly that would have made the entire process a lot easier and faster.3) Good quality fans are designed so that when you hang it on the bracket hook in order to wire it, you should be able to just swing it up onto the mounting bracket. My previous (Hunter brand) fan did that. This one did not. You had to unhook it in order to mount it to the bracket.4) SHIPPING NOTE: They just slapped labels on the fan box, but that box is pretty flimsy cardboard not at all designed to endure getting banged around in shipping. When it arrived, corners were torn and it looked pretty battered. Inside, the Styrofoam packing had broken up a bit. However, as luck would have it none of the fan parts appeared to be damaged. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH SMARTER to pack this thing inside a sturdier cardboard box before shipping.POSITIVE DESIGN NOTE: the large disc-shaped screws that hold the glass on over the light fixture seem pretty well designed, with some protective padding between the plastic of the screw heads and the glass.

Love these fans so much we have them in every room
The media could not be loaded. We have these fans in every room. They are powerful and the lights are quite bright. We have them hardwired in so some of them are on a dimmer switch, the others aren’t. They work perfectly in both situations.Relatively easy to install once yo I get the cadence. We have 6 of these fans in the house and they all work great and look sophisticated.Only negative is they aren’t on remote controls, but we felt with kids and so many fans in the house that the remotes may end up getting lost or broken, so having the attractive pull chain was important. We rarely adjust the fans once we pick a setting so they work great for us!

Very quiet
Fan is as promoted, quiet with bright LED light. Issue is the instructional manual. Some images do not match the exact assembly step. Biggest issue was mounting the fan blades. If you get this fan, then be sure you have a screw holding #2 phillips screwdriver. The fan blade screws are threaded into the fan blade mounts through a small opening. I wasted a hour trying to mount the blades using a regular magnetized phillips driver (screws are not steel). With the screw holding driver I had the 5 blades mounted in under 15 minutes.

Ceiling Fan
The product itself is fine, however, I thought I was getting a remote with the product. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing.

Assembly was a NIGHTMARE 3 hours later
CAUTIONThe only way that this van was assembled is because of the wonderful other customers on Amazon that I had to read their reviews to figure it all out so shout out to all of them who took the time out to share their experiences and walk everyone else through it.The instructions are horrific so you might as well just start reading all the reviews here to get a sense of how this thing is supposed to be assembled before you start otherwise you will lose an hour and a half trying to figure it out yourself. In addition to assemble in on assembling it it’s a waste of time don’t even read the manual. The blades material itself is cheaply made and very easily so make sure that you deal with them with caution. Just simply putting in and screwing in the mounts on the blades can cause damage by cracking the material. That happened a few times and I had to fill in the crack with a black marker so it was not noticeable. It’s like performing brain surgery in the most sarcastic way I can describe it.For the price of the product I can’t really complain and I can’t really expect more the fan is not quiet it has some wobble in it and again the assemble for the Blades are so frustrating because you have to put the brackets on backwards which I only found out after reading all of the reviews. No remote but it was an advertised with a remote so I just turn it on with the light switch.I just installed this so I can update my review about the performance all I know is I am relieved it’s finally up it does look great I enjoy the flush mount option.I will be cautious about the four lights inside the fan as I’ve read other reviews saying that they Should be replaced because of the quality of the lights could cause a fire hazard?
