My favorite aircraft
Complete and full of facts. As an old A-10 driver, I was very interested in the changes to the C model. My son saw it and enjoyed it also.

Purchased for model painting reference, only to find that ...
Purchased for model painting reference, only to find that most of the pictures were printed in black and white. I'd have bought a newer edition, but for some reason, those are going for thousands of dollars.

FANTASTIC BOOK ON THE TANK KILLER

Good for its time, now dated
This book was published in 1981, before the A-10 proved itself in the Gulf War. It is a very good early history of the development of this plane, the weapons and its deployment in peacetime. As with all In-Action series, the book is packed with excellent photos, line drawings, color schemes used back then. Great book for modelers who would want to make an early version of the A-10, but so much history has passed, the book should be updated to reflect Gulf 1 and Gulf 2 wars.

Awesome
A cost-effective way to gun tanks, armored cars, monsters, beanie babies, SAMS and the Stay-Puft Marshmellow Man.The pictures in this book are awesome, as they are in every entry in this series.Plus I have read the entire book and found some bits of info I didn't know before, and you can tell from my review I'm a cultured, highly educated person.I believe that when the Rapture occurs, Jesus will strafe people in this jet.I love this book. The art world has been good to me and this book is a good example of what I look for: high quality paper, sharp photographs, varied backgrounds and, above all, photographers who hoofed it to different corners of the world.Fly, don't run, to get this book. It will find pride of place on your book shelf too.My 3 favorite aviation art books are:- Warbirds by Adam Toby- Grumman F-14 Tomcat by Dave Parsons- Great Fighter Jets of the Galaxy 1 by Tim GibsonAll available from Amazon. All great books.

Nice Book Needs Proofreading!
The lovely artwork and photos are well-printed (by Amazon) on nice, thick paper. However, there are a lot of typos, misspellings and run-together words, so I'm deducting a star. This may or may not be Amazon's fault, but I suspect something in the layout is responsible for at least some of the errors.

It's raining Warthogs and Thunderbolts !
Excellent book. Lots of clear photos with detailed text. The book clearly explains the difference between the earlier versions and the more contemporary upgraded versions supported by many photos and illustrations. There are also many up-close photos of the various weapons carried by this awesome aircraft. If you are a historian or a modeller, this reference is highly detailed, informative and very affordable, particularly the Kindle version.
