Powerful little light
Update: 11/14/16Pros: The coating on my bike (Specialized 29er) makes it hard for a lot of bike light grips to stay in place. This light stays in place great when on moderately bumpy roads or dropping down from small curbs. The flashing brake light is very visible and great when starting out your rides before sunrise. The front light (flashlight) is crazy bright when faced directly at you and has 3 settings: Super bright, normal or dimmer bright, and blinking. The blinking is perfect when heading towards traffic on back roads, mainly because it makes people aware you are there without blinding them. The light can come off easily if you need it for looking around or fixing a flat in the dark, but has not fallen off yet without me having to physically pull it off while riding. The customer service from Sunspeed is also outstanding with quick responses to emails.Cons: My bikes coating makes it near impossible for anything attached to it to stay still without screwing it into the actual frame or gluing/ taping it down. This light is no exception. When taking the bike through the woods, it gets rough, the front light will slowly start to point down. You can fix it by just tightening the front light holster again, but can be annoying. Granted, it usually takes a decent hit before it moves. you can fix this by using a command strip with the grip.Overall: Great lights, Rechargeable and battery backup if you do not like using the rechargeable ones. I will recommend to friends. Side note- I used the front light when the power when out during the last hurricane and still have not needed to charge it.

Pretty god light for the money
Pretty god light for the money. Not waterproof, as the light can intake some water thru the lens on the front of the light, and where you twist it to focus the beam, but it's water resistant enough to work for a long while without issues. One thing I suggest to anyone riding hard while using this bike light; you may find it difficult to tighten the screw tight enough to keep the light from angling downward after going over a bump. I found that the light has better weight balance if you reverse the mount so that it's back to front. That way, the light isn't hanging over the front of your handlebars so much, and has better balance of weight. I found that the light stayed properly oriented much better after having reversed the mount.Another thing to note is that you don't want to tighten the mount around the back end of the light, make sure the light is pushed into the mount all the way. If you tighten the mount around the base of the light where the batteries are inserted, it may activate the switch and cause the light to start blinking when you go over a bump. The light comes with a recharging device that can accept a micro USB cable, but you'll have to get your own wall adapter to plug the USB cable into. You can get a cheap Samsung one for like $6.I'd say this light is just bright enough to work in dark conditions. There is no real indicator for battery life though, so I suggest keeping the backup rechargeable battery charged and on your person when riding. The light slowly gets dim over time, and you may not notice til it's already pretty dim.The tail-light is pretty much garbage. Don't buy this is you are buying it in large part because of that light. The mount is cheap, the tail-light turns off when you go over bumps, and it's not very noticeable form behind. As much as I was happy with this purchase, now that my bicycle has been stolen (long story) I'm probably going to get one for about $10-$20 more that was specifically designed as a bike light and that has a better, more effective mounting system.

automotive HID light - Price - this light is roughly 1/3 cheaper Cons - Re-chargeable batteries are shaped like a conventional b
Bought this for my son's bike. I confused it with a virtually identical (in appearance) Magnus Vision II light that I had purchased two years earlier for my bike. Aside from the labeling, the main differences are:Pros- Sunspeed light is brighter (possibly newer generation of LEDs); has the appearance of a lower powered, automotive HID light- Price - this light is roughly 1/3 cheaperCons- Re-chargeable batteries are shaped like a conventional battery and must be placed within a charger (Magnus lights have a flip top that allows for direct connection to most any USB port)- Mounting bracket won't securely grip my son's 16" bicycle handle bar; lots of room for larger diameter bars but unlikely to be needed. For reference, I was able to attach a standard bell to the handle bar without issue- Chemical smell within the box and components felt wet (likely anti-corrosive coating for shipment)- Switches feel low-quality (loud clicks when turning on/off) but are functioning well as of mid-June 2016Overall, I'm satisfied with the lights but the inability to easily mount the light to my son's bike without special effort is a disappointment.
