The scent is the exact same as the rest of the sandalwood line from Taylor’s. I became a fan of this while in England and have co tinted to use it for years. I found the deodorant and had to try it. Can’t speak to the li February if the scent, but if you like Taylor’s, it’s worth it.

Great deodorant, fantastic scent, fast delivery, and very satisfied customer

Always preferring a scented deodorant that comes in a stick, I searched for one with a "woodsy" fragrance that would coordinate with a few different colognes in that family that I like but that don't come in a deodorant stick. This one not only met that need, but its scent is so appealing that I decided to buy the matching Taylor of Old Bond Street sandalwood cologne, which is also an excellent choice. This is priced roughly mid-range for scented deodorant sticks, which can be less than $10 or more than $20 apiece. I prefer classic fragrances that have been around for a long time and are produced by a well-established company, because it greatly lessens the likelihood that I will like a particular scent and then find it's been discontinued, which is a common occurrence. Taylor of Old Bond Street is in that category.

For the price paid, product not as advertised

Nasty smelling little thing! Def not sandalwood. Can't return it either. And way overpriced. Do not recommend.

I've been using this product for a number of years now and buy several jars at a time. In the past the jar was the same tan color apparently used generally for Taylor of Old Bond Street products. But most recently the product came in a black jar.Of course the color is irrelevant, but with the first of the new jars I used the screw mechanism that advances the deodorant stick broke. It started to come out the bottom of the jar.I'll deal with it , but it's a nuisance. One shouldn't need to put up with that sort of thing, especially at these prices.I still like the product itself -- long lasting and a nice scent. But the lousy jar degrades the utility of the product.

I absolutely love the smell of this stuff. It's one of the nicer sandalwood scents I've encountered, and it lasts pretty long if you're not sweating too much. That brings me to my second point-- This is absolutely NOT an antiperspirant! I see some reviewers are complaining that it doesn't keep you from sweating, which seems to me like complaining that your conditioner doesn't shampoo your hair very well. It is not marketed as, is not labelled as, and does not work as an antiperspirant. Personally, I've had great success using an unscented antiperspirant at night (Certain-Dri, if you're curious) and then applying this deodorant in the morning.One quick note-- This stuff doesn't cause irritation in general, but it can under specific circumstances. In particular, you want to make sure your pits are totally dry before applying! Even if you don't, I've found that the irritation isn't much worse than some mild itchiness/stinging for about half an hour, but I imagine someone with more sensitive skin could have a more uncomfortable experience. Secondly, while I don't shave my pits, I think it's fair to guess that you also wouldn't want to apply this stuff immediately after shaving either.
