Great product for the home fresh sausage maker
What a breeze to use. We made 3 pounds of Italian sausage and 1.5 pounds of breakfast sausage. We split the Italian sausage into 1 pound sizes because we wanted to freeze them into different packages. Once we got it setup, it only took about 1 hour including cleanup. We sprayed the inside of the sausage maker unit with Pam. When I started turning the handle, I punctured the casing to allow air to escape. At the end of all of the meat, we had about enough meat left to form a sausage by hand. That was not very much!

Worked flawlessly and was a reasonable price
I purchased this device as an alternative to an electric one I had borrowed (really a grinder with stuffing capability) that was quite noisy. I got the idea for this design from a You-Tube video on making banger sausages (although the brand is not named). My sausage-making pal and I made 25 pounds of sausages yesterday and it worked flawlessly. As this review may get associated with other models, let me specify it was the vertical 2.5 lb capacity model. And last but definitely not least, it was very reasonably priced compared to similar models.

Worked fine on it's first try, but not perfect.
Worked well to make BBQ Cheddar Jalapeno brats, German herb brats, and pheasant herb brats. It worked well, but I may have put it through too much making 20lbs of prepped sausage in one go. Towards the end, the gaskets started to burst and free from the housing. Probably would have worked well for smaller batches. With the gasket bursting, I had to disassemble the entire thing to properly clean it. This meant getting wrenches out to disassemble the main barrel. I think a different design or fastener could have made that an easier process.

Excellent
Wow. I’m a novice sausage maker. I was struggling with the kitchen aide stuffing attachment so I knew at least that much. Bought this stuffer and what a game changer. Totally easy to use cranks out sausage effortlessly. I made 3 pounds in about 5 minutes without any problems. Usually, it would take me half and hour. The links were much more uniform and clean up was a breeze. Very little meat left in the stuffer. Enough for a small patty. Highly recommend for novices and those making smaller 3-5 pound batches.

A Little Miracle Worker!
When our local German butcher unexpectedly closed last month, we decided to recreate his incredible smoked Gouda kielbasa at home. We're now on batch 3 and getting really close — and this stuffer has been a little miracle worker in the process! It handles the meat smoothly, is easy to operate, and cleanup is a breeze. The build quality feels solid, and the variety of tubes included is a big bonus. Highly recommend for both small-batch home use and more serious projects!

Excellent tool for family sized batches
Easy to take apart and clean, excellent control of the speed the meat comes out at... My only regret is not buying one 10 years ago. Can't talk about durability as I had it for only one day.

DON'T BUY -I got through one stuffing, barely.
So, I will start by saying, size matters. Don't get silly here, the stuffing tube. Crap, still sounds bad!Snack sticks require a small stuffing tube, ok? That tube doesn't come with the master feng. So, you order a Smokehouse Chef 3/8" 9mm Snack Stick for LEM model 1606 606 Sausage stuffer. Great! Now you have a tube you can use!I'll keep this short. The crank handle bends when you use enough force to stuff pepperoni. So, when it comes to torque, don't use all you got in your 21" pythons brother. Leave those Hulkavitamines on the shelf. So, you Clark Kent some pepperoni sticks out when you look at the gear driven drive shaft and notice tons of metal shavings! Drop everything, take the top end off and clean it up so your pepperoni doesn't appeal to autobots. Probably needs lubrication, right? A little crisco, reassemble and get back to it dude!Next, you notice that your 90 degree angle for the upright mounted shaft drive is hotter than 100 degrees. I'll add a picture to show the end of the twist shaft rod thingamajigger. At any rate, it's f@%$#&d up. Remember, I was already Clark Kenting this beotch because I didn't want to break it. I just had a job to do.One star:Bent parts, metal shavings, flimsy crank, tubes too big, clamp to counter could have been more solid, one time use.I will not recommend this to anyone else. It's just not a quality item. 3 more dollars in parts and some hardening of tubing and gears would have been all the difference in quality.

Lubricate Before Use
Bought a 10mm tube for snack sticks. With a bit of cooking oil to lubricate the moving parts, I was able to fill 17mm casings without damage. Take care to crank an inch at a time with snack sticks, building pressure with the crank. On larger diameter sausage, it was easy to use. There will be 2 sausages worth of meat left over when done.
