I bought two of these for my karaoke shows. The average singers love them because they are "all shiny and pretty." The better singers love them because they sound great. There is "some" handling noise but not much...it really has never been an issue. I love them because my customers love them...and because, karaoke being karaoke, they have been dropped repeatedly and never missed a beat, and have not a scratch on them. I highly recommend these to anyone.

Man I love the looks and the style of this mic and most importantly the sounds of it. Very clear and crisp sounding mic. Using it in a choir. Two other members went on and bought a similar version I think but the color of the mic was black and similarly great sounding. Excellent

Cheap sound very low the $50 price tag is for the gold color I guess....?

Bought this Peavy Pvi2 for karaoke purpose. The mic itself looks quality, good weight and sturdy. It actually looks nicer than shown on the product page. First of, I could not find anywhere the specs for this mic, went to Peavey website, they did not even list the specs. Oddly enough, I found the specs on Amazon UK page instead. I bought it mainly based on the reviews and most said it was a good mic. Indeed the mic sounds very strong, clear and good for live applications such as karaoke, speaking, etc.. However, it has quite a bit of loud handling noise when one moves around with it. Any movements you make while holding the mic, there is that shuffling noise, and it can get annoying. Just make sure to turn if off. I can't remember if it makes the shuffling noise while it is being used to sing or speak into. I will have to verify that. I would recommend a mic stand if it will be used on stage. I find the handling noise a bit annoying, but other than that, this mic is very good.Freq response: 50Hz-15kHzSensitivity: -50 dBV

I get nothing but looks when I pull out this beauty for my reading sets. Now I just need a mic stand, and more recordings can take place. It looks heavy but wields light. Highly recommended.

I am rarely surprised by a service or product that delivers far more than I wxpected. This product at this price from Amazon not only delivers far above my expectations but is of comparable quality or better quality with other products I have bought which cost 10 - 15 times as much.Fantastic vocal and instrument mike which looks a $1million and is built like a Siberian shovel.The very best £35 I have spent in many years.

I didn't particularly want the gold coloured Pvi 2 but it was £10 less than the black version and I can't resist a bit of discount.Solidly made (feels as well put together as my Sennheiser mic.) and has survived stage clumsiness and studio mishaps well. I'm very pleased with it. I haven't used the supplied lead so can't comment.Quick delivery too.

The microphones are excellent for karaoke - solid and eyecatching! Have been dropped many times. However, the leads do not last. I bought five sets and two of the leads failed within two weeks. My advice - keep the microphones but change the leads!

This item was bought as a present and was received with delight. My granddaughter wanted a gold microphone and this was exactly what she had in mind. It has not been tried out yet as she needs more equipment.
