ACADEMYHobby Model Kits Scale Model : Battle Ships & Aircraft Carrier Kits (1/400 BB-63 Missouri)

I Randomly got an itch to build a model. I did a few when I was a kid and loved it. I always wanted to build a battleship of some sort and ended up getting the Missouri. A few recommendations for anyone starting out - paint everything first, and paint it while it's still attached to the plastic frame! Instructions don't say to do that, but it will make a world of difference as you progress. Also, whenever you see an instruction that says "build X amount of this item for this step" - just build of those things at once. For example, this model ship has about 40 machine guns, but step 3 says to build 4 of them. In my opinion, just snipping and build all 40 machine guns and AA guns at once made it so much easier later to just grab and glue throughout the process. It makes things so much quicker. Overall super impressed and happy with the result, just have to put the decals on!

I like it how it is laid out on how put the model together. Couldn’t find all of right colors for the model. Had to substitute some of colors closer to the colors

Bought the Oliver perry hazard and let me say I thought it was a 1:350 scale and it not big at all, but whatever and I bought the Missouri which is amazing and awesome and exceeds expectations, the Oliver frigate is also a really good ship just thought it would be bigger:)👍

You need the proper tools and paint to assemble and paint this model of the the Big Mo, but it's worth the effort . May I suggest the paints by Vallejo through E-bay for the complete set of colors.
