This is the perfect size for my hermit crab tank. It warms up to the right temperature and I like that it can be adjusted if need be. I recommend getting these heating pads if you are wanting an affordable and good quality one.

Purchased for my crab tanks. I wanted something that I didn't have to stick to the bottom or side of the tank. I give 5 stars for the size, I have a 20 gallon live tank that this heater keeps it warm. I also have a 10 gallon that it works great for. I give 5 stars for the adjustable heat, I needed a heater that I could turn down in the summer and turn up in the winter. I give 5 stars for the description of the product. The seller description of the product was spot on.

Very easy to use, just goes under the tank and plugs in. Adjust the heat to where you need it for your baby and there you go :) you can also have a back up which is wonderful.

The heat mat worked perfectly. You have to use a thermostat with it though. Other than that, it is fantastic. It heated up quickly and stayed warm. Will buy again.

I was a bit disappointed with this UTH's ability to raise the temperature of an enclosure with no substrate, let alone 1-2in. of substrate. I initially purchased this for a racking system for ball pythons, but it was not sufficient, so I used it to raise the temp of tarantula enclosure. NOTE: Heating tarantulas is NOT recommended, especially without a thermostat. My House stays at 68F so this mat added 4 degrees which was optimal for the tarantulas. I am in no way shape or form recommending to anyone to use this to heat tarantulas. With that being said...Pros:- Small- Light weight- Cheap- Small flat connector (fits under any tank with trim.)- Seams well built.Cons:- Is not efficient for heating the area it covers more than: - 15F above ambient temps without substrate. - 8F above ambient temps with 1in. substrate. - 4F above ambient temps with 2in. substrate.Final thoughts:Like I said, it may have its uses to maybe knock the chill off of substrate and help maintain temps, but It is not sufficient to heat the mat's area of temp more than a few degrees. For this reason I can suggest it possible for germination, but not an animal.

It heats up fairly quickly which is nice but it isn't a strong enough heat for my pet's needs. I have a small African Spurred Tortoise (Sulcata) and he stays right over the heat mat. (He is in a sun room that is signal pained during winter so it's cold) so I'm going to put the second one with him too, but I suspect I'll have to get something else for him... I also have an emporer scorpion in my room and I haven't even tried it for her as she needs a lot of warmth and I don't think it is strong enough. I loved the price and size of the heat mats, and that there are two, but it's just not strong enough for my needs. My house is cold though. Hope that gives some clarity?

Both work well and for th e price I will be coming back for more !

Purchased two of these, promptly returned two of these. Tested them out with a IR temp gun and these were barely warmer than the ambient air. Even the area of the heat pads that were warm wasn’t consistent across all areas of the heat pads. The further out from centre, the cooler they got. I would not recommend these for reptiles. They may be ok for seedling plants though?

It's good but if you have to take it off, it breaks and is not good anymore!

Im changing my review I have been constantly screwing with these pads temp control with a thermostat does not work for steady heat management.
