Great Addition to Collection
A Thomas and Friends fanatic’s dream!!! Such a nice add-on to my son’s collection. Toby is hardly sold in stores so to find this on Amazon was super sweet! My son was excited and the fact that Toby talks was a bonus!

The only downside is it takes small watch batteries.

The voice scares the hell out of my toddler
This is a solid toy; it looks good and it seems to be nice materials. My only issue is that my toddler is terrified of the voice. There does not seem to be a switch to turn it off, so I unscrewed the base to remove the batteries, but he still won't touch it. I hope he gets over it and can enjoy it when he's a little bigger.

My son loves it!
My son lives Thomas. He had a talking Toby before this one but it stopped talking. Changing the battery didn't fix the problem so we got him a new one. Hopefully this one lasts a long time like the other one!

Great sounds!
My son likes that you can press and hold the sound button to make the noise of a train chugging on the tracks. It doesn't connect very well with the older version that has a squared magnet because it won't stay straight. That has been my 3-year old's only complaint.

Loved by kid, but DOES NOT FIT ON WOODEN TRACK
Newer die-cast Thomas trains interchangeably fit on Trackmaster, take and play, and wooden tracks, but these are made with the wheels set too close together for wooden tracks. Fine on Trackmaster, but unexpected to have Thomas trains that are not compatible with one of their own track systems.

Fun toy
Got this for my son and he loves it! We take it everywhere and it has held up well.
