But the colorful history of the Ozarks is unparalleled, and the author of this book, Rex Jackson, cleverly uncovers much hidden and unexpected history that most of us could never discover on our own. The spectacular photo on the cover of the book leads the reader into an entertaining adventure and journey toward "The Traces of the Ozarks Past". I hope there is a series in the works. If available, tourists visiting the area would find this book on the shelves of the many shops in the Ozarks as an excellent souvenir to share with family and friends.
