I tested the watch on hiking over weekend. It's super convenient to have a multi-functional watch like this one. I was mostly care about the altimeter. At the peak of hiking trail, I confirmed that altimeter was close to what's recorded. Out of curiosity, I also tested barometer with iPhone and watch also worked well. One more good thing is whatever mode you are, you can still see the time.

Altimeter was the most important feature for me because I climb. The altitude readings were often off - by 200' on a 3000' climb, i.e., no good at all. Perhaps worse, the altitude memory (max, min, and accumulated gain and loss) is somewhere between non-functional and worthless. Sometimes when recalling memory I got nothing; at other times I got data that had no resemblance to the trip I had done. Every now and again it worked. I have spent two weeks futzing with the thing, so I am familiar with the settings. It just does not work. Maybe it's hit and miss and I got a lemon, but otherwise I don't know how they sell this thing to people who want an altimeter. Clock is OK. It is easy to read, but who cares if the data is nonsense?One reviewer said this is an update of the old HighGear. That's why I purchased. My old $50 HighGear worked superbly for 15 years of rough usage, but this one is worthless.

This is a gift for my daughter who will use it when she hikes up in the high country in August!

I have been using it daily over a week and everything is working great. Used it during a hiking/camping last weekend and it performed perfectly. Of course it needs more testing but I would definitely recommend this one if it keeps working well.

Chuckled when the only time zones available were all in China. Didn’t chuckle when it stopped working within one week...

So to begin with the instruction are hard to understand. The barometer would go back to the factory settings every time I reset it. The world time was off by 14 hours from where I live and the altimeter was off by hundreds of feet after I would reset it. I really wanted this watch to work out but it wasn’t up to what it was made out to be
