Diagel for Dogs (1mL)

This is my go-to remedy for my dog’s infrequent diarrhea. (Usually from eating something nasty on our walks). It has always worked! Stopped the diarrhea in its tracks.

I was surprised when I went to the vet and she actually recommended this product. She sold it to me at the office, but then I looked up the product and it’s also for sale on Amazon so after I needed another dose when my dogs stomach acted up again. I just went right to Amazon and ordered this product and the cost is, so much cheaper than the vet. Same product and I love this product. Highly recommended for dogs stomachs when they eat the wrong food or just have a small irritated stomach and you know it’s nothing serious.

My Westie had a mysterious diarrhea of several months. Everything tested negative (and continued to test negative), and his appetite and energy level were unaffected. He seemed normal every other way. Besides testing everything, I tried altering his diet and feeding times. He drinks distilled water (which cleared up a whole lot of subtle ailments but that's another story) and won't go near tap or the so-called filtered or spring water, so I knew the diarrhea likely had nothing to do with the water. Of course, my vet prescribed antibiotics, probiotics, and specialized prescription food. Nothing had a positive effect. After dutifully trying everything, I started listening only to my own logic and searched online for help that made sense. Because of its ingredients and because of the positive product reviews, I decided to try this first. Based on his weight, his dosage comes in a 1-ml syringe. Easy to slip under his side lip and administer quickly. Apparently from his reaction, the taste must not be horrible. After one day--one day!--and one dose of DiaGel and his diarrhea was history AND didn't return. His output quickly returned to normal with absolutely no adverse side effects. Now, I keep a couple of doses always on hand.

I ordered this before reading all of the information, so I didn't get enough and it didn't do anything for our 70 pound dog. But, I did end up ordering the 5ml quantity and that seemed to help a little. For the price, I don't know that I would ever order it again because we did not see immediate results. It took several days plus a bland diet, so I'm not sure if the medication helped, or just time and diet. Neutral review.
