No junction box in my garage ceiling, wires come through small hole in ceiling & connect to existing fluorescent fixture. Do I need jnctn box?

Yes the wires come through a small hole on the back center of fixture. There are no punch knock outs, the led bar mounts directly down the middle inside the fixture.

Can these be installed in a carport?

I bought 24 Shining Glory LED T8 Tubes https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00W1DC2F0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 for the 6 4-bulb ceiling fixtures in my garage. along with the LED tubes I ordered 24 prewired tombstones from JACKYLED https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SFD1AEY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to retro fit the old fluorescent fixtures for the LED tubes. I simply removed all the ballasts, 4 tombstones from one end of each fixture, and cut out all the wiring. the 4 remaining tombstones on the other side you'll leave in place to hold the bulbs in place. with the power off, of course, you simply insert the new tombstones into the fixture, wire nut the blacks to the line voltage black and the whites to the line neutral. reinstall the ballast cover, install the new tubes with the label end (power side) the shield, then power these babies up. These SGL bulbs are instant on, very bright and good consistent light for the garage. I would strongly recommend these LEDs to anyone and especially now with the price as low as it is. I own a hair salon that has about 35 4-bulb fixtures and will soon replace all the old fluorescent tubes there with SGL bulbs, they are great.

I replaced my Florissant kitchen lights with these but it's too bright. Does anyone know if I could put a dimmer switch on them.

The spec sheet says it's non-dimmable. It will probably work on a dimmer but you risk significantly reducing the life of the light. I have some LED puck lights in my kitchen that are non-dimmable and I have them hooked to a dimmer. If I run them at anything less than 100% they work but they start buzzing. Needless to say I keep them at 100% pretty much all the time.

Does the warm white light selection for this light have a true warm light? I do not want harsh fluorescent or halogen affect that hurts my eyes.

The 2700K warm light model I got for my office doesn't hurt my eyes like some intensive LED/Halogen sources do. The light is indeed warm. But it is also quite bright. If you stand under it and look right at it, it does make you squint a bit until your eyes adjust. I have 2 of these 2700K models in a small-ish 9' x 10' office as the only lighting. They are QUIET, come on very quickly and provide plenty of warm and bright lighting. Like some others, I do wish the design and the lens provided a slightly wider spread of light. But overall I'm pleased with these and they were a good value for the price. I DO NOT miss the old noisey fluorescent fixtures they replaced.
