Initially I found this coffee warmer not working. The customer service was very helpful and after 2nd trial, I found the problem. I use this coffee warmer to warm my eye drop bottle. I filled a glass or metal cup with water at half full and placed the eye drop bottle in the cup. The water never warmed.At the bottom of the warmer, there is a turn-on switch with spring to keep the switch extended to the bottom. This switch is located at the front edge of the round hot plate. The weight of the glass sitting on the hot plate causes the turn-on switch to be compressed, thus the warmer is turned on. When the weight of the glass was not heavy enough, the turn-on switch is not compressed enough to turn the unit on. I have found out that when I move the glass towards the front edge of the hot plate, the weight of the glass causes the unit to turn on and I can hear a click sound when the bottom turn-on switch is fully compressed. Also pay attention to the LED light from the center hole of the adjusting button on the top. When there is no light, the unit is either not turned on or is switched off. By pressing the top button you can change the setting to off, low temperature, medium or high temperature. When the unit is off, there is no LED light, in low temperature: green; medium: green with tiny red; high: red light.If you have doubts or questions, talk to the seller and I am sure you can get great help. Another tip, if you need to warm something with light weight, put another heavy item on the coffer warmer, no mater where it is. as long as it is heavy enough to press the unit down to activate the turn-on switch.

I love this and wish that I had bought it sooner. The only downside that I can see is there is no on/off switch so you have to be careful not to set anything that can melt on it. There is a gravity switch and anything heavy will turn it on. Oh, and any time that you take a drink, you have to reset your temperature if you are needing a medium to high temperature. It defaults to the lowest temperature every time. Other than that, I love how even the high-temperature setting will keep my 15oz of beverage hot (not cold or lukewarm).

It works as a mug warmer okay. The small weight sensitive switch on the bottom of the warmer is quite audible but not really disturbing at all. It’s relatively easy to clean which is nice. The surfaces are not completely flush, which was a little hard to tell before ordering, but this turns out to be beneficial when the warmer is used near an edge since it keeps the mug solidly on the warmer. I chose this warmer because of its larger heating area, and it fits my larger bottomed mug quite well.—-only one issue stood out—- as a moderate negative and prompted a 4 instead of 5 star rating; the heat settings are controlled electronically but there is no memory. When the little switch on the bottom turns the warmer off after the mug is removed, the heat setting is forgotten, and the next time the mug is placed on the warmer, the warmer turns on at the lowest setting. I have learned to live with it since the lowest setting is satisfactory most of the time, and I just end up using the two higher settings for a little heat boost when I leave the mug off the warmer a little too long.A slight secondary gripe is the sensitivity of the weight switch on the bottom. It can get slightly picky when nearing an empty mug, and requires moving the mug off center of the heating area in order to get a bit more weight over the switch to turn the warmer on. I imagine this would only be a concern for someone trying to warm a small lightweight cup.overall a good value for my use, and I would consider purchasing again if I wanted a mug warmer in a second location.

Update:After 82 days of daily use, and the purchase of 2 additional units, this first unit died.. It won't turn on most of the time,, and when I get it to turn on,, it turns back off after 10 seconds.I loved this product. But now it's time to but a new one from another manufacturer. The other two are still within the Amazon return window, so I will return them too.End of UpdateI love this product. I have only one complaint. The 3 temperature settings are nice. But every time you pick up the mug to take a drink, the unit turns off completely. When you set the mug back down, it always turns back on at the lowest setting. If you like your coffee hotter, then you have to remember to hit the button each time you set the mug down. It should remember what it was last set on and return to that setting.

The warmer has worked great for the past 5 months and today just up and died. If you want a warmer that will last longer than 5 months maybe look elsewhere. That being said, I have an older one of these that is still working, though the heating pad area looks a bit weird now (see the attached photo) but still works just fine. Maybe the newer one was just a lemon or something.

Edit to review below. To my pleasant and incredible surprise I received the NICEST message from Better Life Tech, from whom I bought the warmer. They offered to send me another one (with just one medium warm setting) at no charge or they offered a full refund, whichever I preferred. Such wonderful customer service!!!! I am going to keep the one I have - I have gotten used to using it and it does a great job of keeping my coffee warm.Since this is a gravity warmer (no on/off switch, uses weight of cup to start heating) every time you pick up your cup and put it back down, you have to reset the warmth temperature . It defaults to the coolest temp then you can touch the button to change the temp to medium or high setting.
