Excellent Remake
My husband writes this - I absolutely love the remakes of the original IT, he finds them much better apart from the ending which he says was kind of flat and wish they done what was done in the book.Chapter 1 was amazingly good letting us into the lives of the characters and how IT affected them all. There’s a great feeling watching them all interact and deal with IT. The child actors are superb in these movies and I hope they go onto better things in the future. Pennywise was expertly portrayed by Bill Skarsgård and 12 year old me would’ve had nightmares about him. I found him evil enough just not jump out of my seat scary ( due to my age ).Chapter 2 shows the grown ups 27 years later but this movie intertwines the between the grown ups and the children which makes it a better movie. We see all the grown ups gather and having fun before IT starts making their lives a nightmare. I think the adult actors were perfectly cast especially Eddie and Ben. I like James McAvoy as an actor and was glad he was included as Bill. Pennywise is back and more determined to get the group to float and has some great scenes where’s he’s just evil as hell. The ending felt a bit rushed and was kind of a let down how they defeated IT compared to how it was in the book ( IT is my favourite book which I read once a year and listen too a few times a year on Audible ), it may have cost much more to make the ending like in the book and went for what they did out of necessity.Overall I could watch Chapter 1 & 2 any time and thoroughly enjoy them and I think horror fans would love this remake too !

Just as good as the first one
Despite the longer running time, this second film is just as good as the first one. I really enjoyed it.

IT'S BACK !!
When people begin to disappear again some 27years-on in Derry, Mike (Isaiah Mustafa) he calls the members of The Losers to fulfil the promise they made each other after their encounter with the evil-clown Pennywise(Bill Skarsgård) back in 89' to come back together to try and kill him.Beverly( (Jessica Chastain) Bill (James McAvoy) Ritchie (Bil Hader) Ben (Jay Ryan) andEddie (James Ransone) respond to the call, Stanley (Andy Bean) can no longer do so.When they all become aware of Mike's intent to reface Pennywise not all will be up for the challenge. Each with reflections of what happened 27 years ago will realise that together they are strong, no one person could face down Pennywise. With tensions rising Bill decides to go back to the house they'd encountered the clown all those years ago, the others will not let him go in alone surely? Can the powerful and sinister Pennywise be stopped, will all six survive another encounter?Much of the film is each of their journey's of the past bringing them to eventually to the inevitable showdown. With scary and often gory imagery throughout, the film though pretty lengthy is indeed a quality chiller worthy of a viewing.....far and away better than part one in my opinion.

Disappointing.
Chapter one was far better, this concluding chapter left me disappointed, how the papers could claim cinema goers fled the cinema in terror I do not know.Pennywise just lost that menacing demeanour that was so evident and effective in the first movie. The adult versions of the child characters were good and believable and I liked the interweaving of the child characters with the adult characters that worked really well for me and I felt more at home with the child characters as they defined the story so well. The movie drifts a bit and does have some of the jump out of your skin and scary moments but it felt like Pennywise was more comedic in this movie. The final concluding scenes were a real let down, and didn't live up to expectation or the way the story concludes in the book.I think its a necessary watch to finish the journey with the characters but the end felt rushed I felt. It's an OK movie but doesn't compare to the first movie.
