Good quality cards for the "Arcane" spells from the PHB
Good quality cards for the "Arcane" spells from the PHB. They're laminated, and about the size of ordinary playing cards. They seem relatively durable, and I have made notes on them with dry erase markers. They really help with spell management. Some previous reviews noted a request to have concentration spells identified; in this edition, they are. It appears that the three additional cantrips from the SCAG are not included in this set, for that you need to get the Arcane Traditions pack.My one gripe is that, while this pack includes all of the arcane spells for Sorcerers, Warlocks, and Wizards, it doesn't differentiate between those three classes. There is significant overlap between the spell lists of those classes, but there are a couple of spells that are unique to the Sorcerer and Warlock that the Wizard doesn't have default access to. This makes it somewhat less useful to use this deck as a reference when building out a spellbook for a Wizard--you can't immediately assume that any card in the deck that is appropriately leveled is something that a Wizard has access to.

Fun for spell casters
Great accessory for D&D. No, you don't actually need these to play, but they make playing a spell caster much more fun. These are all the spells and cantrips for Sorcerers, Warlocks, and Wizards that are listed in the Player's Handbook. It does not include new spells from Elemental Evil or other expansions. The one thing I would like to see added is, an icon or legend to indicate which spells are for which classes. What I mean is there is no way to tell just by looking at the card whether it is for a Sorcerer only, or a Wizard, etc. You have to look at the spell class lists in the PHB or other resource.Having something like that would make it even easier to sort the cards when getting your character ready. Maybe next printing? The publisher seems to welcome feedback, and has made many changes since the first printing. Rounded corners, concentration mark, etc.

Minor oversight, ok quality
I love the idea of these cards, I'm new to pnps [but not crpgs or board games], and these help me keep track of my spellbook. The quality is just ok, seems sturdy at first but all the cards are extremely sticky and the edges on many of them have already become frayed only after minor use. I would be ok with these except there is also a minor oversight. Concentration is not listed on any of the spell cards! They did keep the 'Up to X' descriptor under the duration box which all Concentration spells use but not all said duration spells are concentration like etherealness, prestidigitation, and thaumaturgy. That means you have to at least mark yourself what spells are not concentration although at least in the case of etherealness under the description it does say that at lasts until you decide to dismiss it so this is not so bad as others have claimed. I don't know why they couldn't have just put a 'C' or something as concentration is a HUGE part of the spell casting mechanic in 5e. Overall i'm halfway between recommending these or not based on the combination of the concentration oversight and the barley adequate quality. I would recommend to probably wait for another printing before considering buying.

What can i say the Spellbook Cards are awesome they help so much in campaigns
What can i say the Spellbook Cards are awesome they help so much in campaigns. The cards will help you to keep organized and have every spell accessible for fast actions, so it keeps the game moving along. No need to be scrolling a book to find your spell. The cards are made with very nice material they feel hard and you can write on them with a dry erase marker. The cards have a specific art on the back for their respective class and on the front it has the name of the class and spell. The box that they come in are bit flimsy, so i recommend looking for a better place to store them. This is the only downfall i could find with this item and the only reason it does not have 5 stars

I think its totally worth the small cost.
Almost a must for wizards, so useful. Cards are lightly laminated, standard size, and contain all the information for casting requirements. Some spell descriptions can't fit on the card, but page numbers in the PHB tell you where to find the longer description. Every spell in the 5th edition players handbook is present, and expansion packs for the new spells come out when applicable (ex: Temple of Elemental Evil). How we use: Add known spells to the players pile of cards. Place ready spells into rows according to level. Place a glass bead representing unused spell slots near each row for its level (we use different colored beads for each level as well). Remove a glass bead when that spell level of spell is cast.Certainly not required, but if you can afford the little niceties, it's totally worth the money to stop digging the PHB constantly.(Of Note. the box can be a bit flimsy, might want to get something stronger to store it in.)

The spellcards are perfect. No fluff
The spellcards are perfect. No fluff, no confusion. (I had this issue with my new players of taking fluff too literal in game)anywho, two issues.1) they have a really weird feel to them. Just a personal quirk about it. not a problem.2) Unfortunately they don't include any of the spells that the Player Companion added, and just has the handbook spells.Loved it so much, I now own the druid set and am getting the others soon.Just wish they'd give me my immolation spell card too.

What they claim to be.
It's exactly what it appears to be. The graphic design is disappointingly bland, but as a functional way to keep track of your spellbook and memorized spells, they work fine. I don't care for the plasticky texture, although I gather it means you can write on them with dry erase or wet erase markers, which may be useful for some people. If you're playing an arcane caster, especially a Wizard, in 5th edition D&D, these are pretty good buy, especially on sale.

I love these, traditionally I would have printed out my own on cheap card stock and handed them out to my players, it's so much better to turn up to the table and hand these out to the players. Would recommend to anyone thinking of playing the best class... you know... a Wizard.

Some spells don't list important portions of the effects, for example, how an enemy might dispel some of the illusion spells. There are also a LOT of them, which makes it a cumbersome pack to sift through. I don't think they could solve this issue though.

Very useful
I'd definitely recommend these for anyone playing d&d as they make your life a lot easier instead of going through the players manual or using a free app on your phone

Easy to read, All your spells to hand.
I was really struggling as a newcomer to D&D to remember my spell abilities, now I have them to hand without needing to keep looking them up in the players book. These are great sturdy laminated cards and really easy to read. I highly recommend them.

Great resource and it's very useful for new players. Totally work the price.
