... it may work for somebody elseThe objective was to capture better the conversations with me of my clients in the backseat. Quite few people have very low voices, mumble, eat their words, etc. With road noise, hard to have a conversation.clipped to sun visor, mic pointed to the rear, plugged into Williams Pocket Talker.mic's directionality did not eliminate the ambient noise when volume turned up. rear seat voices still in the mud.Failed experiment. Mic didn't work for me, but that's no knock on the mic.

Look professional and works well
I bought this microphone to use with my digital camcorder and I found it easy to setup and use. It mounted into the shoe of my camera and didn't require external power. I did not need to look at the instructions. The smaller condenser makes my camera look more professional and blocks out most of the wind so my outdoor recordings are more clear. It does add a small amount of weight to the camera but I didn't find this to be a problem.

Have one star because it says it is u oversaw but it won’t fit the slot for my camera.

Hooks up easily, great sound
I got this hooked up to my mirrorless camera, which already has a pretty good mic built-in, but after being asked to record a funeral decided to use this instead of the built-in mic. Glad I did. This mic picked up every little bit of the sermon and memorial all the way across the room, without a buildup of sound when people who were closer to the mic spoke. The music sounded great as well. I'm really happy with this mic...and yeah it was really easy to hook up as well, the instructions were good, but it's pretty much just plugin and there you go! Another fab piece of equipment to add to my photo case!
