It stains everything it touches and it stinks. That is what you want. You will be very careful with this not to get it on yourself. Since it is very yellow you can see where you sprayed it with out the blue coloring. Make sure you stand up wind as you spray. Since this is concentrated it will over a large area many times. I calculated 0.6 to 1.2 oz (1 oz is good enough) per gallon at 3 gallons per 1000 sq ft. I figure at minimum I should spray once in September and once the beginning of February. I won't know how well it works till next spring.Update, it works well. Very noticible difference from where I didn't spray.

I sprayed this on my yard and caught over an inch of rain a couple of days later. I would say I got over 90% effectiveness on area of bare dirt. You could sure tell the difference in a small area that I missed. It has some serious yellow dye which made it pretty easy to tell where you sprayed. It did stain the inside of my sprayer tank yellow but It's starting to wear off a bit once I use other chemicals. It did not permanently stain the concrete or bricks and it does wash off. It also has a strong smell during and right after application that goes away after a little while. Great for your yard, but I would not use in a vegetable garden, just go with mulch instead. Overall a good product.

Granted some things have to be done at exactly the right time. Putting a pre emergent down is one of those things. I’m retired and have the time to take card of my own lawn , so I felt that I was able to hit a perfect couple of days this past early spring. Hopefully it’s just a two stage process to eliminate most of the bad stuff. Will use again!

Pin-dee is great value

I purchased this product as a replacement for Surflan AS (which is no-longer available) to control Sand Burrs (stickers) in my yard. It works. One question for the manufacturer... do you have to put such a highly concentrated and obnoxious amount of yellow dye in it? I have removed three stars for this specific reason. Even properly well diluted it stains everything yellow that it comes in contact with, like... concrete (driveways, sidewalks, foundations), stone, siding, underpinning, the propane tank, the garden hose, your pets, and YOU. Seriously folks, you need to wear protective gear when you spray this stuff. A hazmat suit, gloves, and old shoes that you don't care about are definitely needed here! Also, it needs to be dead calm when you spray so that it doesn't get everywhere.

I followed the mixing instructions and applied to my yard with a tow-behind sprayer. There was a really strong, almost toxic smell for a day or two. Weeks later my concrete and grass is still orange in places, and the weeds are growing better than ever.

Arrived and was soaking wet by the time I got home. No safety seal or packing material.
