Great whisky, fantastic value
I've recently started buying sherry cask whisky, and this one is by far the best. Before tasting you get the aroma of the sherry cask with a little smokiness. The taste is very rich and smooth and has a sherry after taste. A perfect after dinner whisky

A great wee dram
Oh me, what a wonderful warming glow you get, from your first sip, to the last with this whisky! It's slightly darker than normal, this being down to the sherry casks used. With the sherry casks used just gives you a hint of slight sweetness, not too overpowering, but for me just the right amount for your enjoyment of such a quality product.

Very Good Scotch For The Money.
I bought a bottle of this pretty much on a whim and I'm rather glad that I did.I'm no whisky expert, in fact my tastes have veered from scotch to bourbon these last few years though I do still enjoy the occasional dram. When it arrived I was itching for 10pm to come around as that is my 'spirit time'. Poured out a glass and took a good sniff, smelled slightly spicy vanilla & fruit. Took a sip and that pretty much confirmed the nose. Took another larger sip and was mightily impressed, lovely deep flavours, ever so slightly sweet and a lingering warmth. A splash of tap water and I was set for the evening.I liked this so much, the very next day I ordered 3 more bottles. When they arrived I looked into further expressions of Tamnavulin and ordered a bottle of their Double Cask and a bottle of their German Pinot Noir edition. I look forward to trying those out once they arrive. To conclude, for roughly £20, you get a very tasty quality single malt so give it a go, you might be pleasantly surprised just as I was.BTW, as it has no age statement on the bottle (I really hate distillers that do that), I can only assume this is a pretty young scotch (minimum of 3 years old by law) but it is no worse for that fact.
