FloraCraft Sand with Glitter 27.8 Ounce Green

I bought the sand to work on letters with my kindergartener. We put the sand in a baking pan and she writes the letters with her fingers. I thought the glitter sand would be more exciting for this practice as she LOVES glitter.Pros: sand works well for this (we mixed black and purple). The Sand does not stick to your fingers and provides a good texture for this practice.Cons: the glitter sticks to your fingers... the pans... and separates from the sand. It leaves debris of the glitter and sand "dust" in the pan. My daughter, trying to be helpful, blew on the glitter and the dust (super fine sand) totally blew in my face.Also, the glitter isn't very visible in the mix (until you pour the sand back in the container!). (Reference the photos).Next time I think I will just buy sand and forget the glitter sand.

Tis is a good quality sand for crafts, but I was very disappointed that the glitter was barely noticeable. I have mine in a clear glass jar and unless you place your face right up next to it you cannot notice the glitter. If the glitter was more sparkly I would have given this 5 stars.

I bought this product to use with students as sensory sand. The black got all over our fingers and it was quite messy. I wouldn't recommend it for that use :)

Sand came extremely well packaged. No loose sand, it was all in the container. There is a subtle hint of glitter which is exactly what I wanted for my terrarium. Another reason I bought this sand was because the sand is in a plastic container and not a plastic bag.

Arrived with 2 large candles. the candles were wrapped but the sand was not. The lid was only half on and sand was everywhere. I called for a replacement which arrived promptly. I like the product alot and really can't understand how the lid could come off?????

This makes the PERFECT sand. It's not overly sparkly or glittery. However much you need I'd get one extra being the nature of sand it settles down after a bit and I had to go back and order more.

it is smaller than I thought it would be. The glitter sticks to glass it tends to stay on the bottom if you have to pour it out and rearrange things like I did.

The red sand is definitely more of a pink shade. It is NOT a red like the photo, that was disappointing. And it was not as glittery as i would have liked either.

A bit dusty (not sure if all the sands are like this). For example, if you use it for decoration in a glass container (with other staff, like shells or something else) and you did something wrong, then when you empty the container to redo it, it would be better to wash and dry the container before filling it again because there is some dust left on its walls and it's not as clear.

We used this to create a base for wooden tulips in a glass jar and it turned out great. White color is nice and simple (so it doesn't detract from the handmade tulips) while the glitter gives it a little bit of sparkle that catches your eye and elevates the whole look

For the price paid for such a large bottle, it was worth it. However, the sand/glitter was smaller than expected. This is great for arts and crafts and for decorating purposes!

I put this on top of plant soil, it kept white for a while but turned yellow over time with the mixing and watering. Probably not what it was designed for.
