I was really excited to try out this perfume. I had a magazine sample that I loved, but I couldn't justify the price tag of a full bottle of YSL. I found the vial sprays, and told myself that if I used the vial and still wanted the perfume then I would buy it.The vials came really quickly, and were packaged well. The perfume is clearly not a knockoff, that's a problem I've had in the past when buying sample perfumes. This one smelled great!On another note, YSL's Manifesto is a brilliant scent. It's the first "heavy" scent I've ever purchased (I've always been a fan of light, summery scents that were closer to bodysprays). It's a little intense for a few minutes after the first spray. Give it about ten minutes, and it settles into the prettiest smelling perfume I've ever worn. Great for fall!

This manifesto didn't move me the same as the one by Isabella,I only brought small sample versions of this and I'm glad that all I brought.

Got a sample of this and found a little goes a long way. Let the test spray sit on your wrist up to an hour before deciding on this product--like all good perfumes it takes a while to settle with your body chemistry. Despite the name: "Manifesto" this is not as overwhelming as YSL Opium--on me its a great all season feminine scent. The bottle is like all YSL perfumes I've tried, feminine but not fussy(and I lean toward fussy); this one is kind of Art Deco updated to today. Looks good on any vanity or cupboard you display it on. Hint: Store your favorite perfumes in your fridge to make them last longer--up to two years. You can try this with other cosmetics as well, as long as fridge setting is not too cold and never put them in the frezzer compartment

I thought it would be worth it to spend the $4.50 for this "vial", just to be able to test the fragrance before spending much more on a larger bottle, but the additional $4.49 shipping/handling charge was really excessive. The entire package weight was less than 2 oz., which costs less than $1 for postage. It was shipped almost immediately, so I don't think there was much handling to it. Also, the description of "vial" should be changed to "sample" because the on-line picture gives the impression of a much larger bottle. A little late I realized that $9 was definitely too much to pay for this tiny sample.

I am sensitive to fragrance's and just wanted to try this to make sure I didn't get any headaches from wearing it. I have been wearing the same fragrance for the last 20+ years and wanted a change. Love, love, love this and no headaches!!
