This product works as expected for permanent attachment to bolt and nut fasteners. Use blue lock tight if you anticipate future removal.

Mostly used on small engines. Last used to secure a somewhat loose crank gear.

Professional grade
It’s tough to find this stuff in any local auto parts store. I had a mechanic friend at John Deere recommend it to me. The application is so much better than with typical silicones in their aluminum “toothpaste” type tubes. And with over 10,000 mikes in the rebuild, there are no leaks anywhere. It’s all dry underneath 👍

Great for high temp applications
I used Loctite 263 to mount a damaged idler pully to an aluminum engine block. Issue fixed, and mounting bolt is holding tight.

Shipping issue
Product is great, the shipper wouldn’t deliver to my house. Use a different shipper!

Chill, people. The bottle is supposed to be mostly empty.
Loctite cures anaerobically, meaning that it cures when not exposed to air. So there has to be air in the bottle to keep it from curing. I guarantee that none of the people complaining about there not being 50ml have actually measured it.

Good locking compound
I am using this not as a thread lock but to help secure the timing sprocket on a diesel VW. If the sprocket is the tiniest bit lose it eventually breaks the key. This compound makes sure that there is no slop at all.
