20 LTR Stable and Fence Paint Black

Decided to look for a black or grey alternative to the usual boring Brown/orange tones of wood preservative. This stuff is brilliant.Firstly when you open the tin it appears grey not black. However don't be fooled, it turns black once applied to wood and it's dried.It needs a good stir when first opened, it has a very slight gel-like quality ( almost like really diluted jelly before it's set ), but this seems to help when it's being painted onto wood.It definitely looks best when two coats are applied and the first has soaked in and dried, and it goes properly black.Coverage is excellent, these large tins go a long way and whilst it seems expensive when you work out the cost per litre it's actually no more expensive than most normal fence treatments.As shown in the picture I've added, I used it on an old section of faded fence and it's bought it up almost like new. And black looks so much better than dull browns or orange shades.I was so pleased with the finish I ordered another tin and have done all my garden fences and gates with the stuff!Totally recommended.

No regrets. When looking for top brands of paint and seeing the ridiculous prices atm I decided to search 'black paint.' I seen this, I read the reviews, even though they were good I remained dubious, I saved it to my wishlist, I looked again, I thought ok, let's give it a try...best decision I made. From the quality, quantity, price and superb secure delivery, this cannot be faulted. I painted my own fences, moved along to my uncles house to do his and I still have approx 9l left!*Update* Another year, another tin! Important update to avoid anyone rushing to the customer seeking help on receiving the wrong colour & next steps, like I did. I thought I had been sent grey paint in error. I had a response to my query straight away to find that even though the paint, when wet looks grey, it dries black! I have attached photos.

Having initially used a premium brand 5 year product to paint our fences, we couldn't find anymore for love nor money when it came to painting our next batch. This stuff went on well, was great value for money, fast delivery (faster than quoted) and looks better.

Needs a second coat on very dry timber but good value for money and good service.

Love this paint. I have a slightly larger than average garden and it’s taken 2 x 20l to somewhat finish it. I still have a small section to finish and wish I could buy a smaller tin of this. We used a sprayer without diluting it and it was amazing. 2 coats. Great coverage and I’m praying it lasts!

Very easy to apply and leaves a lovely finish with a slight sheen.Everyone who has walked down the lane has commented on how nice it looks.To that end I’ve ordered two more drums.To keep for future use.Also easy to get off your hands and brushes.

Very pleased. Painted over previously stained brown stables. Needed 2-3 coats to give a deep black colour. Covers well, easy to use, not runny therefore little mess unless overfiiling brush. Can use a roller. Covers metal as well. Will definitely buy again and future preferred choice.

Easy to apply. Covers a large area. Needed 2 coats. But was a dramatic change. Real true black. Brilliant product and amazing customer service from company! Would highly recommend! :)
