Zinc for older engines with flat tappet lifters
I use this religiously with my 12V Cummins and old 74 Ford 240ci straight 6 as and additive to supplement the lubrication for the flat tappet lifters. Prolongs the life of these already bullet proof engines. Buying it here is half the price of buying it locally.

Must use this in "older" vehicles
This review is to inform the public that our Government has mandated the removal of zinc from motor oils that are being sold in OUR USA. However, if you have "older" vehicles with non-roller lifters this product is a necessity to keep from ruining the cam and lifters in these vehicles. You may also use it in "newer" vehicles if you are not sure what type of engine you have.Zinc is an anti-wear agent that lubricates "sliding" engine parts such as the cam and lifters. Our powers to be must think that everyone drives vehicles that are no older that ten years old!!!

A must for older cars
My dad owns a Volkswagen repair shop (I'm talking the old air cooled Beetles and Buses and such) and uses this with every engine he builds or rebuilds. Those older engines really like it and he gives a bottle to the owner of every engine he puts together.
