Come, Let Us Adore: A Child's Guided Journal for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament Paperback – July 17, 2018

Highly recommended as a tool for reflection before the Blessed Sacrament. Great gift for First Communion or for any Catholic child. During this year of the National Eucharistic Revival, why not teach children about Adoration of the Lord? Also recommended for Catechism classes and religion classes in Catholic schools for grades 1 thru 6 or even 7th grade.

I bought this book for my son who has difficulty sitting still especially during adoration, but found it quite helpful for me because my mind tends to wonder, too. He colors and reads his Bible verses and makes his notes. While I personally don't write in his book, I use it to look at and focus myself back onto the Blessed Sacrament rather than my to do list. Great job, wonderful book.

Wonderful book

I have always tried taking my daughters (8 &4) to Adoration. It has never, ever turned out to be the peaceful experience that I need and hope for...until I got this book.My 8 year old daughter has a pretty hard time sitting still or focusing quietly on anything for an extended period of time, unless it's a book she's chosen to read. I thought this would be the perfect thing to allow us to go to Adoration together and BOTH be able to focus on spending some time with Jesus. I have not been disappointed! She loves it! We have been about 3 times since receiving this book a couple of months ago, and each time, she sits down to pray and gets right to work. I can see her thinking and praying, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to allow myself to attend Adoration more often, much less having her joyfully participate as well. Last week when we went, I was able to get a full 20 minutes of uninterrupted prayer (not something I have experienced in Adoration before when taking the kids)!This book is beautifully done! It has a repetitive structure, so after the first couple of times of needing assistance, my daughter knew exactly where to begin and started on it straightaway. It is not distracting to her or others in the chapel, and it truly helps focus her attention on praying to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. She loves the idea of having a prayer card for each of the mysteries she prays through, and the focus on prayer and Scripture in this book is really beautiful.This book is what I have really been searching for to use with my daughter. I can't wait until the younger daughter can use one too!

When we would go to adoration each week my daughter use to kneel say some prayers and then would be ready to go. Now since using this guided journal for Adoration, my daughter is eager to go to Adoration and work on the different areas of the journal. It helps her focus and gives direction to different areas of prayer. I really like how there are questions for you to reflect on, there is a Bible passage to look up, a decade of the Rosary to pray, coloring that they can do, and a reconciliation record in the back of the journal. This is definitely a very useful journal that I look forward to purchasing for my other children and as gifts for my Godchildren.

This book was better than I expected! It not only kept my 9yo daughter engaged and looking forward to adoration but my rambunctious 7yo son enjoys using it too. My only regret is having only one! I really appreciate the repetitiveness as it allows them to now work independently in the book, they now know exactly what to do and how. It allows for all of us to spend time with Jesus! My only reccomendation is to get one for each child you have.

Even though we haven’t used it very much yet, the fact that my daughter is excited to use it again speaks volumes. She doesn’t mind going to adoration but the idea of using something to create something beautiful to glorify God helps her.I like that it has structure but allows the child the freedom to be creative, journal, whatever they need.

This is such a wonderful book! A real treasure. I’m delighted with it. It is very easy to use, and uses repetition well with slight changes so it is not boring. An excellent resource for children at Adoration!
